I absolutely loved Goofy's Hysterical History Tour as a kid. Great little Disney game with some creative level design.

Pitfall 1 & 2, and A Boy and His Blob were much more interesting than just another tennis game.

The wayforward A boy and his blob remake is alvaible on Wii and PSN.

The best tennis game for the system, and easily the best I've played from that period in general, is ATP Tour Championship Tennis. It has some issues with the shots not working as intended when the player stats are too high in some categories, and being a bit easy, but other than that it's a solid experience, loaded with real players, and a fairly robust career mode. Not to mention the music is absolutely fantastic.

Some of these look neat. The Goofy one has an Earthworm Jim feel to it. The tank and the tennis games look pretty cool as well. Thanks for the video, John.

Good video! I really like these ranking videos! I do have the Rocky And Bullwinkle game and it is a tough one! I like Super Battle Tanks!

Really love the company specific ranking videos, great way to talk about games not many ever speak of. In hindsight I wonder if it might have been better make games based on old cartoons more challenging and deeper for an adult gamer audience instead of kids. Kind of games that make your kids say "This game sucks Dad, why do you like this cartoon?". Rocky & Bullwinkle games are a prime example. ^_^ Not a big fan of David Crane's later day games other than Boy & Blob but that one is a solid tennis game. Just glad he got back to making Atari games again. ;) Definitely give that Goofy game a try, don't think I ever played it. There's quite the sub genre of FPP tank driving from that time period, one of the better early 3D gaming methods. Just watched Toys again over the holidays, still can't believe they made a video game of it considering the plot of the movie. 1992 had many movies better suited to game adaption, how about FernGully, Unforgiven, Encino Man, Army of Darkness instead...or even The Crying Game lol.

I never knew there was a Goofy platformer! I’ll have to check that out

I’ve only played the SNES version of Super Battletank and it’s controls were weird. But I only played it within the last 10 years. If I’d played on my original SNES back in the day, I would have loved it.

Toys is, from my experience, a VERY strategic game despite what first impressions may make people think. The presents you get can sometimes give you more ammo of a toy you're currently holding rather than give you a new toy in your arsenal & you will NEED to do that in order to keep using better toys to face off fiercer enemies. The peanut shooter, which has infinite ammo, is also of good use if you can rationalize the game's isometric perspective. While I did enjoy it a bit, it's still not that good & can be quite frustrating for beginner players, ESPECIALLY the camera watering segments.

I had that Toys game as a kid. I have no idea where I got it from lol I just remember thinking it was very odd. I had no idea it was based on a movie

That is a tough one, as many of the games are not pick up and play. I might get creative and have my friends help with that one.

Has there ever been a good Rocky & Bullwinkle game or do they fall into the Superman curse?

You should listen to the rockey and bullwinkle nes music its beyond anything you have ever heard in your life!

Oh, boy... Absolute Entertainment had some bad licensed games and ports. I have already mentioned Toys, which disgraced both the Genesis and the SNES, but they also made other trainwrecks for the SNES like Home Improvement and Space Ace.

@@johnhancockretro I remember hearing about that years ago. It got canceled because Sega saw what Absolute did on the SNES and refused to port the game to the Genesis.

@@MoltoRubato88 I don’t think Sega did that much quality control. If something made it through the quality control of Nintendo, Sega wouldn’t have been an issue. Probably sales were low on SNES, and making cartridges, distributing them would have more likely been a loss. It costs Sega nothing to have games releases if they don’t want to back it, and even if the publisher sells 10 games, Sega makes $130 dollars it otherwise wouldn’t. Seeing how many broken games were released, I don’t think quality control was that strict anywhere.

Not sure if you've ever done this but, can you do an S-tier list of games? System of your choice.

No, they didn't. Sierra's logo features a mountain; Absolute's an Egyptian-style pyramid. Last time I checked, those are two completely different things.

I had 2 of these, Toys and Rocky and Bullwinkle. They were my 2 least favorites, In fact I'd have given both an F. Maybe Rocky and Bullwinkle would be a D in my book, I thought it was better than Toys.
