    Man I wish my 2000 year model Blue Wave had this kind of room to get to the pumps. I replaced the bilge pump a few years back and now the live well pump is out and I'm older and just had knee replacement surgery so it's going to be a real job to get this done!

    Those connectors have solder in them that melts around the wires and the makes it waterproof/water resistant. Takes a little longer to attach, but worth it. I don’t crimp them, it can bust the cover.

    Man you had some great tips...I've got a 88 374V Ranger and believe it or not your boat/battery/pump compartment is a pretty similar set up to mine. I really like how you have the rat straps for the batteries. I'm doing that to mine and I had no idea those pumps un-screw like that. Both of my livewell pumps are bad, I got to the both my pumps, saw the mess and all the tubes down there and figured I didn't want to mess with all the plumbing and hoses and possibly create a water leak problem. I don't do tournaments so I wasn't to worried about the pumps. Now that I saw they unscrewed like that I'm gonna check mine out again and see if they're the same.

    The pumps are super easy. Yes you need to fix your pumps. Like on my boat. I have 2 Bilge pump the pump water out of the boat. Those are very important and the live well pumps are nice to have. But thanks for the great comment.

    I replaced both pumps and used connectors for the wires. In hindsight I believe I could have cut off the excess wire. That way I really wouldn't need to zip tie the excess wire.

    Thanks for all the videos, they assist me with my 04 520. Good info on keeping it in working condition. I wanted to ask you about trim fluid. I have the vmax 225 is there a trick to getting trim fluid in it. I am struggling. Trim is working but low on fluid. I tried to add fluid but just made it worst, sounds terrible when i run the trim, but the motor is moving up and down

  • @thebasshunter

    @thebasshunter

    3 жыл бұрын

    I know what you mean about the trim. I had problem with mine two years ago. It was super low and would not go up. But the way you have to do it is. Run your motor all the way up. MAKE SURE you put the motor stop and put something under the motor so it will not come down on you. But fill the reservoir up until it comes running out then put the cap on quickly. Then run the motor all the way down and up about 2 times. Then fill the reservoir again and run up and down. The second or third time it should be full and stop making the noise. I hope it helps.

    Great video bro....but what causes these motors to just stop running? I think it might be debris like string or other trash getting into the impellars and blowing a high amp fuse which heats up the motors. What do you think?

    I don't know the size of the shrink wrap. I would just buy the pack with all different sizes. That is what I do. Are you getting good flow when you have it set just to pump water in? if your tanks are like mine. You have the side that pumps the water in and in the other side pumps water out also. so you are not getting a good flow in ether side? Sorry for the delay in replying. I been fishing today.
