You have really inspired me to not give up when I am trying to fix things. Great video!

I replaced my live well and bilge pump with A Johnson Replacement cartridge at the same time. The bilge pump had a 1000 gallon per hour pump and the Livewell pump had a 750 gallon per hour pump. It took about 30 minutes to replace both cartridges. It was a piece of cake. I had a Luma craft 2015 competitor sport 185. And Aluma craft installs Johnson pumps to make your life easier. I would not replace any pump in my boat unless it was a Johnson. It is so easy to replace.

Ok I didn’t understand where your leak was coming from until I went to the beginning of the video and seen that the crack was in the plastic housing and the actual pump cartridge did not fail the exterior of the pump which is red is what cracked. Now I see why you had to replace the whole system. That is a chore, my friend because tracker don’t make no room for you to replace any of your pumps.

What a pain in the butt! Earlier this week, I was using my Livewell for crappie. The boat filled up with so much water that I couldn't get the Tracker 175 on plane. I took it back to the dock and loaded it on the trailer. Once I removed the drain plug, I bet water pour out for 5 min. I dropped it off at the Tracker service center in St. Louis for them to fix it. Next time, I'll better understand the issue and just empty the boat of water, not use the Livewell and keep on fishing. Thanks for the video. It validated my decision to have someone else fix it.

Why did you replace the whole pump assembly. You can just replace the pump cartridge by pulling up the black small tab on the side of the pump and turn the top counterclockwise and lift it out. Then just install the cartridge by lifting up the tab again and turn it clockwise. Then use the same wires to slice into the pump wires. It takes 15 minutes. It’s a Johnson Pump. The brown wire is positive and the black is negative. Look up Johnson Pumps. You can install a 500 gph, 750 gph and a 1000 gph pump with the cartridges. You save money and time.

I have a similar issue. I need to replace the empty hose from my livewell to the transom. Have no access to the livewell so I need to start disassembly today. I don’t know why boat manufacturers can’t design the boats to have easier access.

They expect you to take them in for repairs. Problem is they keep your boat for 6 weeks.

How difficult was it to remove the spray foam, and did you put some back in before putting the plate back on? Had the hose come off or was it split / hole?

Had to cut the foam into little pieces to pull it out. Not different but time consuming. The hose was just off but I replaced it anyway. We did put most of the foam back in the hole. Thanks for watching.

I have a recirculating pump not working at the moment also , same year tracker but 190tx , what are the odds I’ll have a convenient hole square hole cutout in the back of the boat as well ? That something tracker does ? Just incase I need to go that far with this project?

Yes, it is an access hole put in by Tracker. I would expect you do have a hole for access.

I have a hole in one of those hoses at the transom. Is it possible to just bypass the live well, keep it dry and safe to use the boat? Thanks for the video...I don't use the live well myself. I'd fix when I get time or die and let somebody else worry about it.

I missed the part where you removed the recirculation pump and installed new one. Video went from showing the new one that was picked up at BP , to repairing a leak.

I need to see that also, i have the same boat and this pump is blowing a fuse, do I have to remove the pump housing to replace the cartridge?

Same boat blowing a fuse also. I pulled the pump head out and it’s bad. It’s easier to remove when the housing is still good. But my wire harness was all inside the spray foam and I pulled the wires out the plug end and had to run new ones cause I could not reach the old plug.
