Range Rover Sport P300 | First Drive Review | Autocar India
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
A four-cylinder engine in a two-tonne-plus Range Rover Sport SUV? Could it really work? We were skeptical but Nikhil Bhatia took it upon himself to find out if such a thing could work - or if it was a case of downsizing taken too far.

why stop yourself from dreaming....who knows it might come true. 👍
86 lacs for a four cylinder engine. Not hard to guess, why JLR is a failing company. God bless those mathematicians running the company.
next generation will get only 8 battery under the bonnet not 8 cylinder
Don't have money to buy Tata Nano, but still watching reviews of Range Rover. Who knows maybe someday.

What is your job?
2.0 litre engine is so capable that all premium manufacturer started implementing it in their range of cars . Less size of engine means less power isn't true anymore ! Great review team Autocar👍☺️

less power is not the issue. its the rpm at which the power is delivered. You can put two turbos in there but you will have to rev it to upto 6k before anything significant happens to your 2 ton hippo. More downside is the torque. It's an suv(land rover specifically). it should have enough torque down to move earth backwards. With such a small engine you have such a little torque at low rpms that you may stall it(of course automatic trans is here for noobies). For an off roader you need low range gearbox. But , again you can have several hundred nm of torques up in 6k-7k rpm but that doesn't really matter as you will never take your car up there in city and never ever in mud. If Jeremy Clarkson has to review it , he should have mentioned it as the most disappointing land rover that UK can produce. As a land rover , it's a shame. As an everyday big family car it might just work . Land rover focused on sales that indians want a car with good mileage even though they can afford an executive car. Anyway,it doesn't matter as it looks good and bloke in his late 30's behind the wheel will never bother to take it off road where land Rovers belong (mud pool, flooded trails, hill climb etc).
Most important question #autocar.. it's a petrol.. n weighs over 2ton.. as a true indian I would like to know.. "kitna deti hai"? 😁😆
Always nice to see Land Rover’s vehicles
Nikhil I really love the way you explain about vehicles! You're one of my favorite autocar host.
Range Rover is just falling in its value as they're no longer providing same features quality as it was before and the price too is not matching many options !

Only in Indian market.. Check out middle Eastern, Chinese, US and EU its best...reason in Indian market its too costly because of INR value is low and economy is crushing down.not this brand rest two....including Hondo, Hyundai, kia,Suzuki etc

People here are more obsessed with German trio. Else how can mediocre Audi models sells more than Jaguar XE or Land Rover ?
Nice review! But the air suspension is too soft, I wonder could it be possible to adjusted from drive mode setting?
Honestly they are really difficult to distinguish and differentiate from other variants
You drove the S or the SE version?
Just bought One In Jan 2020 .compared the car with X5 at the time of buying. Handling 9/10 Suspension 8/10 Punch / Zip 8/10 Bells and Whistles 6/10 Music System 4/10
Definitely the mid spec 2LPetrol makes a case for itself
i would wait for the X7
Excellent review . My dream car........
Please upload video of new royal enfield himalayan
For SUVs, diesels are better as what matters is torque over bhp. For sports cars, it's different as bhp is important than torque.
What SE gets over S?
Does all Jaguar Land Rover and Range Rover cars uses Run Flat Tyres. Please reply
My favorite car Range Rover
I love range Rover land Rover and discovery More and more

Kya ho lee fooka hai? Sorry just wanted to make that joke, the car is horrible value tho
A Cr for a 2L. Slow clap
JLR is in tail spin now and no hope of settling till 2022, and spending 1Cr on such brand won't be a good Idea.

Yeah it is in Loss but range Rovers are good cars right?

That's not because their cars are bad but they have more diesel engine options & buyers in US & EU are shifting more towards petrol. This lack of petrol engines is the culprit. They are bringing in new petrols though & it will take sometime for petrols to be accepted in JLRs by buyers. Only current exception is Jaguar F Type.
I never understand what's stopping tata from making JLR in india. Cheap skilled labor is available with huge market for SUVs. If India wasn't a market for premium SUVs fortuners nearing the price of range rover discovery won't be selling in 1000s each month
A turbo I4 and only 300bhp at a price that touches the crore mark, it's ludicrous of LR to expect buyers. They should probably learn a thing or two from the DTM I4 engines. They churn out far better power and torque figures on just 4 cylinders and a turbo. The interior central dash panel console proves to be a distraction. Do we drive or fiddle around with the funky touchscreens?! Really weird of LR to hop onto the gargantuan LCD Touchscreen faux show. They're tampering their own brand ethos.

It has improved a lot in terms of reliability
if i ever needed a performance suv for road I'll take a 2008 ml63amg or X5M for rather quarter of money for what i pay for this .......this hippo with anemic engine as compared to the others.
Nikhil chinappa thts great
sports svr only.
Is this 2.0, 3.0, 4.4 ??
Good to see Nikhil reviewing a car after a long time!!
Come on we need few physical buttons. These touch screens are very distracting
Roll is not much it always feels straight or flat unless you try to slalom
Beauty!!!
Better is buy a Mercedes gls,Face lift which is coming soon India, Because Mercedes Benz is more reliable dan range rover brand and durability wise also. Plus Mercedes having more service centers in india dan any luxury brands which are availables in India.
It's not downsizing I feel it's right sizing. But those alloy wheels are not justifing for the price. But I surprised that they choose touch screen for off road modes. I'm scard that they might put touch screen over foot steps:( but we have to appreciate LR's initiative towards something great especially when it compare to Land cruiser with V8 engine. I wish Toyota should RIGHTSIZE thier engine for better fuel economy and make it more effortable for indian market.
Why the hell is it so expensive!! A 4 cylinder petrol engine for a "SPORT" version of a SUV is pathetic. I hope the car is really luxurious because the performance of the car doesn't justify such a high price point.

Nice video
Notification squad🔥🔥
Its madness if you invest such a big amount of money just for a car!!! 1cr is a big amount!!

Indian customers has to sacrifice the best quality vehicles for te likes of Mahindra and Tata and Maruti .They become wealthy by selling cheap products.
Has money for a Luna. Watches Range rover videos!!!
👌🔥🔥
👍👍👍
👌👌👌
Some thing like a Q7 is a better deal. This thing is overpriced.
Jeep compss is best SUV
Land cruiser will remain boss
Its rim made me go in depression
Looks like Range Rover made this version for ambanis bodyguards
better to go Porsche cayenne r macan
Itti sasti
The best I can do is 3 lakhs ...
Buy velar
Evoke > sport 💛
Lol... The price!
👌👌👌👌👌❤️❤️👌❤️❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
First comment
I like velar over sport
Or ... you can buy a ford endeavour for 1/3 of the price and get every equipment you get on the range rover !!!
It’s resale value sucks all over the world ..and yes the durability is always a concern ..Go for a BMW or Audi or Mercedes rather than spending money on this white elephant.
Not worth paying that much ...Too costly..

It's very over priced to buy
I Would Prefer A Ford Endeavour 3.2 r Volvo XC60 Inscription.. If Service Is Gud Available In Hyderabad, I'll Chose No Option Than A Jeep Wrangler, ( My All Time Fav ) Rather Than Dis Unworthy Pricey Machine...!
Grossly overpriced
These cars are not that reliable. Toyota are any day more dependable.
A tata product
We6 petrol and we6 diesel 😂
