I just bought a 2012 evoque and IM IN LOVE. I'm a massage therapist though and the massage table goes up to the roof so yeah I wish mine had that rear camera cuz I'm always traveling with my table.

Definitely would need that camera when driving super lengthy moving vans. Would have been useful. Then again, a reversing camera would suffice.

I have the original 2011/2012 Prestige and yes, I have fully loaded the cargo deck in a number of occasions. That mirror would be cool.

So what you do then is.. use the side mirrors... many thousands of vans are on the roads that do this with no issues whatsoever

The camera rear view mirror is a great idea for those with tunnel vision. The back pillars in the rear restrict the view of the outside.

Fair enough. I never load up any car like that. Also I'm used to driving panel vans, so I can do without the central rear view mirror.

The rear camera helps when 1. the fifth person blocks the rear view 2. it crammed by my 6-person family camping gear (easily stacked up to roof in my V250d)

Bent my headrest with a "hollow gas pipe i normally use as a breaker bar", just put some duct tape around the shafts to keep it from scratching. I do this with all my cars. I don't think you had it set (mode) in All Wheel Drive going up the grass. AWD only works in a Mode, or when the car senses slipping

Even if JLR doesn't have a very responsive infotainment system I like the design of the interface. The icons, the animations, colors it just feels very modern compared to ones from a Porsche or a Maserati. Their UI looks like Android from 2010.

Camera mirrors are really use full.

Entertainment system crash especially in BT function. What a nightmare that I encountered in DS also. Whow can JLR not solve this issue it impact on driving safety.

My dad learned to drive without using mirrors and look at me so used to using mirrors

This double screen infotainment is OK, but the single screen like in the updated Jaguar F-Pace or newish LRDS may still be slow.

Android auto only works if you use a compatible USB cable. Use the OEM one from your phone.

Android Auto works in most other cars with whatever cable I have on me.

I think the Evoque is better with the Panoramic Sunroof as it is Claustrophobic in the rear.

PSCavalier 95 I have to say that i would order it without. Everytime I'm in the back I prefer it with the roof closed, even though the windows are tinted. Just at night it looks really amazig watching the stars while driving on the autobahn.

Is it a reliable car ??

I actually like the rear view mirror like that! There’s always something blocking the back, my stroller always seems to block my view.

Best looking small SUV but people including me buy German rivals because everyone says how bad JLRs reliability is.

dmpanis And a great number of those people “who say how bad JLR’s reliability is” have never owned one, but they do like repeating what they’ve heard from Internet and magazine gossip. An unfortunate byproduct is that a lot of buyers then miss out. I’m speaking from the experience of having owned 6 new, or near new LR products, over the last 9 years and over 300,000 miles - 5 of them bought and maintained with my own money.

Just ordered mine in an s model, and have to agree. Still satisfied but it's definitely not the same as the higher models.

I’m 14 years old and my dad just bought me that car for my first car and think is very nice to drive even though I don’t have my drivers license until next year!

The rear view camera is brilliant, the fact you dont think so makes me question the value of your overall opinion. It could be that you are older and innovation or technology is challenging for you. Not sure

As I said, I've driven cars with no central rear view mirror, and I didn't find them particularly challenging. IMO this mirror camera business is just a gimmick. But if you find it useful, there's your USP.

I chose the Evoque over an X1 - the Evoque feels more special and is more comfortable as a motorway cruiser. The BMW handles better, but has a firmer ride and for me these cars aren't really meant to be sporty..... The 2021 Evoque has an impreoved infotainment system - mine has worked faultlessly (so far....)

It looks great but the price doesn't make sense. Besides, the infotainment isn't efficient and reliable. :(

Land Rover/Range Rover cars are generally overpriced by about 15 to 20% compared to rivals in the UK. Frankly, they have so many models that end up in the £50,000 to £70,000 mark after specifying a few extras that others provide as standard, that they tend to cannibalise sales from their own brand rather than from rivals. It is a massive issue of mismanagement and lack of product planning. Even so, I love their vehicles and have put down a dealer deposit on the forthcoming LR 'Defender'. Hoping for delivery by next March. If I don't like it I could always buy a Discovery Sport or Discovery5 instead.

I think the new Evoque looks very slick and will age very well. It just looks great without even trying - classic minimalism.. But other than that, I'm not sure what this offers over a Q5 or X3. I get exterior dimensions say it's a X1, Q3 competitor but it has very generous interior dimensions because of it's transverse engine packaging and it's price puts it up against the X3... even the Porsche Macan. As for that rearview mirror design, wait until you have some fat headed friend of your child sitting in the middle rear seat Marek.... hypothetically of course ;) Thanks for the review Marek!

Hopefully the world is coming to the realisation that hybrid and all electric cars isn't the solution some are portraying it to be. 10 years of development and the addition of a mild hybrid system has resulted in an increase in fuel consumption, and a heavier and more expensive car. Pity you can't specify it without all that crap and save yourself a few quid!
