Depends on various factors not least car usage short stop start trips will lead to dpf being clogged quickly... Every 2 weeks you need to drive for at least 20 minutes at speeds exceeding 50mph aka motorway driving or A-Road driving... there are other factors which have been covered in previous videos on this Channel.

thanks, but is it typically hours days or months?.. also anyone know if should drive it if the amber DPF warning lights come on. Should I go to a garage to look at it or go on a motor and run it for 20 mins at above 50 mph.

It varies from car to car, Citroen's/Peugeot's from 2006-2013 with dpfs don't generally suffer from issues. They still do a regen at idle if the ECU detects a burn is needed. Also they don't care about fault codes been present or if the glowplugs work or not, they just work.

@@stiggyness1976 I had a 67 reg got it March 19 only had 7000 miles on it drove it home 2 and a half hour motorway journey and then 5 days later Amber DPF light came on. Didn’t know what a DPF was drove it on the motorway a day later and light went off then 2 weeks later it came on again. This happened 4 times before the car went into limp mode. Land Rover replaced the DPF then a year to the date in 2020 same thing happened again but I no longer got the orange warning light it would just go limp without warning. I wound up getting rid of it in 2021 as I was having to get it cleaned every 3 month. Are 11 - 13 plates more reliable? As much of a hassle the car gave me the only issue I had was the DPF and I loved it so much really want another but scared to have DPF problems again 😢

@@EllieLouDavis The only way to stop DPF issue with land rovers is to have the DPF removed and then mapped out, the emissions equipment on modern cars is so strict that even a sensor or device that has nothing to do with the emissions system part of the engine ECU will stop regens from happening. It really is stupid.

We have the dpf full message and engine management light on accompanied by restricted performance message. All this despite car being used daily on hour long journeys at motorway speeds.

Depends how you use the car. if you carry on using it like before. it will be a few months

Not long if you drive like a grandma slow and use the start stop

Doubt they carry dpf cleaner and a compressor

would never buy for that reason

LANDROVER has SOLVED ALL RELIABILITY ISSUES by renaming them ITGOBANG ROVER so any faults are the BUYER'S.
