The 1/6 scale/27cm Volks dolls were indeed called Dollfies! The resin BJDs Volks are best known for are Super Dollfies, while the Dollfie Dream are the vinyl/plastic dolls at the 1/3 and 1/4 scale that Super Dollfies generally come in, so sort of a hybrid of the two.

I really love your Japanese hauls. Anime faces just bring me so much joy. Now, when will we see some Tokyo Mew Mew dolls in your collection? :)

Fun fact: Jenny is from LA because she originated as a partnership with Mattel as "Barbie" and when that partnership ended the only thing they changed was the name. Additional semi-related fun fact: Licca herself is bi-racial (the dad is a white French dude). I also love that Mario doll. My collection is mostly pre-Tomy merger but that and Econeco are two of my favorite Licca-chans from the modern era.

I remember playing with Jenny and Licca dolls with my older step sisters when I used to live in Japan as a kid and it feels me with joy to revive that love for these dolls!🎉 Also a search term I love to use is リトルファクトリ which translates to Little Factory.

One of the volks lost angels dolls is a grail of mine but she's near impossible to find even if they don't seem to go for super high prices... Yours is super adorable too i looove the shade of green of her dress, her hair + dress color combination reminds me a lot of mew lettuce from tokyo mew mew

I love Japanese dolls! Actually, I love all things Japan. :D I really wish Volks still made the 1/6 scale dolls - I was able to make a custom male doll thanks to one of their 1/6 scale bodies! And male anime dolls are pretty rare. But yes, I definitely would love to see more 1/6 scale dolls and objects from Volks. But it seems they only focus on 1/3 scale now. Darn it lol I do have a couple of the Lost Angels dolls, and they're so cool! Mine have very loose joints lol but it's okay since I'll just be displaying them. Fun fact: You literally have to screw the body apart to remove the head LOL! Totally random but you have the exact same kitchen scissors as I do LOL! Licca-chan Mario is super cute! I wonder if they will make Princess Peach sometime - that's a good point LOL! And I love that it comes with a backdrop! And yes, the hat is perfect! I like the Licca dolls, but I'm not a fan of their bodies lol. I have this phobia that dolls with wire bodies will break easier, as in the wire will eventually pop right through the rubber. It's also harder to get the doll arm or leg to keep its shape. So I tend to put Licca heads on Azone bodies. :D I just wish I could find more XS ones because they're the best for her to still wear her own clothes! Don't feel bad about the stand predicament - I always do things like that LOL! I did an unboxing video and I could not for the life of me open a Shopkins bag.... that was just grand LOL. Love these dolls, thank you for sharing!

Volks Lost Angel, Dollfie so, while today Volks is well known for Dollfie Dream and Super Dollfie. Before even making dolls they were known for hobby model kits; military models, mecha, anime garage kits, and so fourth. Then they introduced a concept called "Dollfie" which is a combination of the words "Doll"+"Figure". A hybrid between an action figure and a doll. It's why she has so much articulation. These were 1/6 scale, like barbie and other action figure toys.They made many original characters the "Lost Angels", as well as collaboration dolls from various animes and videogames, also sold blank bodies and supplies so people could customize their own. What you have is a 'showroom angel' -each of the Volks Stores had a mascot character. Later on Dollfie would evolve into Super Dollfie and Dolfie Dream that we know today at larger 1/3 scale, with more of a focus on BJD collectors.

Awesome haul!! Super cool to see the variety of dolls over the years. (Was surprised to find I own one of these, well the head at least.) Anyways, from what I can find, Harujuku Showroom Angel Junko (the green haired fairy) came out in the year 2000, so that's neat! :-D

You have to do a video on your licca chan dolls (not many of them make it to Australia 🇦🇺 so I don’t get to see them here much so I’d look to see what’s out there) Love how keep introducing us to dolls from all over the place because I get to see dolls I normally don’t get to see down in Australia

Well it looks like the aikatsu doll line is continuing, as new dolls for ichigo and yurika got revealed! And yeah, aikatsu is a very nice show! It’s a good balance between slice of life and idol anime as compared to animes like pripara with their over-the-top character designs and songs. Oh yeah also, if you have the cure majesty doll could you upload a video of it?

Jenny emerged as Barbie, because the sales of the doll in the country were low, Mattel made a combination with some companies (Bandai at first and then Takara) to manufacture dolls that were called Barbie but were designed by those companies. At the end of the contract Mattel returned to sell the Barbie we all know in Japan with slight differences (her eyes were bigger and makeup more subtle), so Takara decided to renombar the doll, there is even a commercial on youtube where you can see this change. Edit: (i dont no wy happend whit my original comment LOL)The last doll, I think I remember was a line of Volks, with original characters, they had few editions, at that time the brand sold dolls in a 1/6 scale and I dreamed of one day having some (that did not happen Lol) to manufacture approximately in 2006 (they also sold the bodies and heads for custom) and there was also another line of anime characters such as Asuka and Rei from Evangelion

Just two weeks ago I saw a video showing some rabbit slippers. and the owner of the video told me that they were of a licca doll. I looked for it, and only Amazon Japan had it. I ordered them and they were 8000 yen for two super cute sets and they already arrived.💜💜

Depends on the box. For rare vintage stuff I keep the boxes. Sometimes I just scan and take good photos instead. I don’t keep a lot because they take up a lot of space
