We're having FUN! Quick n dirty style!
Microjig got their money's worth on this video. I loves me my Grr-ripper! It's a lot easier to have FUN when you make safe cuts!
Very appropriate David, coming back from vacations it's a good time to make some organization projects for our shops. Thanks for share!
I love how you treat that Festool Orbital Sander like just an orbital sander and not some specialized fancy pants high end technical equipment. PLUS, great organize!! Thanks for sharing!
Clever trick with the CA clamp.
I've done the same trick as the CA glue clamp but i used Hot glue. Worked fairly well. Love your channel.
Im in the middle of shop cleaning/reorganizing. Hanging sanding stuff on the wall is a great idea. I might have some fun and whip up my own version of this!
One of the better lay outs I've seen. Great idea
Quick and useful is just as informative and entertaining as drawn out and fancy. Great vid 👊
Very cool David! I was just in the shop today doodling out something for my sander! Thanks for the inspiration to try something different to hold the paper!!

Shop projects are always the funnest. Excellent video
CA glue as a clamp. Brilliant! Great project.
Awesome video to sit down to at the end of the weekend. Looks great. It is fun to watch and good tips. I saw two new ways to do something simple in that video. I love seeing more efficient technics. Keep making your awesome content ! 👍
great idea you have inspired me to make a sandpaper organizer this weekend. fun key ingrediant
great build David turned out really nice for throw together if you got no problems with it I may attempt it myself only on a bigger scale LOL thanks for sharing
Cool project and I might just make me one similar to it. Yes I had fun watching you work and not me, it's in the 90s here today. God Bless my friend.
Somehow you made quick and dirty stylish. Good stuff.
Thrown together, but fantastically useful.
I had fun today!

+Make Something it's always fun!
I love it. The first few seconds of your vid reminded me of the nightmare I deal with each day. I think i'll bump up the organising of my sanding gear from my 25 year plan to my 2 year'ish plan ;D
Very nice!

Love the old school label maker! And might have to make one of these!
Fun with bongo music! Great idea for not sending stuff to die in drawers ;)
Love watching your videos, man. They always make me want to get out in my shop and make something!

Sweet! My kind of get it done and fun shop project.
Classic Drunken Woodworker bongos! 🤘🏻 Yes! #realtalk the bongos are what made me subscribe back in the day! And I'm totally making one of these 👍🏻
Wow that label maker brings back some memories
Going to make one soon! Great idea!
Hey, nice job!
It's hammer time! Loved the 90"s hip hop reference. Definitely fun.... You also said butt and joint at the same time : )
I like it, looks like it does its job perfectly.

Right on! Thanks Jake!
I love it. Functional and fun.
Did I see a blender under your work bench? Awesome!
It was fun, it was quick, it was dirty. It was quick dirty fun!
Cute idea with the two glues. And, yes, we are having fun.
That's an awesome super glue trick where you use it like a clamp! I'm adding that one to the arsenal, thanks!
Love thee off the cuff videos Dave! And the bongos are back!!!
Great inspiration David.
Very fun! Such fun! Wow! 😳
Very nice David!!
was that a blender next to the dust collector or I am just crazy? :D nice build! everybody needs one of these sooner or later :D
Quick and dirty shop projects are the best! I was worried that you weren't having fun making this.
Very nice quick and practical.
I need that music as a ringtone. thanks for making these videos
I do it "Quick and Dirty" all the time in my shop, sometimes with shop projects too. It only cost you 1 hour and you used up scrap; you'll get that hour back over the years of not having to look for clean pads etc.
Love it!
Binge watching and now I MUST BUILD ALL THE THINGS!
Apart from Crockett and Tubbs, I feel like I'm watching an episode of Miami Vice. I'm picturing a speed boat chase with Crockett's hair blowing in the wind. It's pretty dead on what I'm experiencing right now watching this.
It's brilliant, great idea.
just having fun. keep it up man
holy crap David, they still make those ptouch makers?
quick and easy ,perfect !
I had fun. nice video, as always
Getting it done. Nice!
love it !
Great "Quick and Dirty" video!
That was fun. One thing I thought of, maybe clue a 1/4 x 1/4 x whatever along the front of the top box as a stop for the roll of sandpaper to stop it rolling out. More stable laying down I'd think and I know that's how I'd end up throwing it in there. Just a thought.

can't beat quick and dirty it serves it purpose.all that matters..got a quick question about that festool sander I just ordered the ETS125EQ 5" havent gotten it yet but on its way - do I have to use Festool sanding pads or can I use regular ones from Like Home Depot?? probably a stupid question but just want to make sure so i get the right kind thanks dave love that bongo drum music brings back memories of the weekly wrap-ups damn I miss those

alllll right the congas are back!!
What's the veneer on the 1/2" plywood? I haven't seen that before. It's cool.
When the bongos kick in, it's carpentry time, ladies and gents.
Nice, we have been missing the Bongos.

Tons of fun
The bongos are back! Woo!
I like this design, I need to get working on some shop organization :-|
Thumbs up for the extreme closeup at the end. Also a nifty functional project. But was it fun?
Nice project! What kind of label maker is that? Is it an old one or do they still make them?
@MakeSomething

It's a dymo label maker. The one I'm using is older but they still make them!
Might have to make me one of those.
super cool project to make I means copy paste haha cheers dude ')
Nice work as always. You ever thought of doing a review video of your own past projects? Maybe talk about things that you would do different or failed ideas? Ether way love the channel, keep it up.

What's the name and brand of that tool for labeling? I know its a simple question but I'd love to know the answer to it. Also great work on the videos, I love everything you make and I'm just starting out in carpentry and wood working and your videos are great to follow along too!

dymo label maker
it would be nice if you would have something you could use to sand this organizer with.
Good video Dave but tapcons are even easier than those plastic anchors.
I was led to believe using the fence when cutting short pieces (wider than they are long, around 1:40 in the video) was a no-no. Was I mislead? Or does it not matter with plywood? This is not a criticism, just a question. I enjoyed this video and hope to make a similar sandpaper organizer for my own shop. As always, thank you for these amazing videos.
@MakeSomething

You are correct in thinking that. The pieces I cut were small and supported with the Microjig I was using. But yes, in most cases you would use a miter or sled.
Perfect !!!
Quick and Dirty?!?! Is that advertiser friendly?!?!? P.S. Blender for spontaneous Margarita fabricating? I Like It!
Much love for the laugh....Please Hammer don't hurt 'em! LOL! Wonderful :-)

Can you please tell me exactly what CA glue is and where to get it. What did you spray onto the glue surface before the glue-up? Thanks.

Thanks. Nice job putting the links in the description. Very helpful.
Seek at 7:10 for some fun! The funny lable maker realy pleased me.
I like how you never sanded the sand paper holder.
3:49 quick and dirty just how I like it.... didn't need to know that lol... immaturity has Rosen.
BONGOS!
Which Festool sander do you have, and what do you think of it? I have a good DeWalt, but I'd like something better.
@MakeSomething

I'm not sure the model number off hand. There is a link in the description. I do like it. Not as much vibration as past sanders I've owned. Plus it's nice and big.
@craftedworkshop
7 жыл бұрын
+Make Something I have the Bosch ROS65VC, and I think it's pretty darn close to the Festool's normal sanding mode. Low vibration, great dust extraction, and big pad. Now, if you have the Festool Rotex, it does more stuff with its extra mode.
It's Conga time!
Why did you use 2 different miter sled? Was that because you just wanted to have some fun?
Weird, I was literally in my shop last night thinking I need to figure out what to do with my sandpaper... GET OUT OF MY HEAAAAD

I'm in there and I aint leaving!
I haven't seen one of those labelers in decades.
from 4:09 to 4:20, it sounds like something, maybe your microjig was hitting the sawblade after you completed the cut?
label makers search out their own when looking for a date.
very good
Most useful tip I learned from this is using superglue as a clamp. Good trick, thanks.
I give the fun rating a 5/7
6:32 Its Hammer time.
