I think that adding some of those stones will improve the mortar, beyond just cosmetics.

Yeah. I doubt ill use it in the repointing because some of the spaces are so thin, but ill use them for new mortar work

oh hey its my boards, glue on some powerpole connectors to the side of the battery, they are fairly sturdy as is so they can easily support the weight of that little bike light

I'm interested in these - I have a small 12V 400W UPS that uses this formfactor battery but it's lead acid. I don't want to buy another one because they only last about a year. The discharge specs are 6A continuous and 30A for 5 secs, so it can't replace the LA UPS battery unless I had 5 or 6 in parallel, then it wouldn't fit in the case. Oh well. 😞

I find for LiFePo4 you might want to quadruple your amp-hour rating relative to what the lead acid had.

@@RinoaL but then the batteries won't fit in the box! Not a really big deal for a UPS though, but then might as well go for a 50Ah battery. I have a 24V APC 1000 which is working since 1999, and I've been using a home made pack 7S16P of harvested 18650s with an active balancer for 7 years now, and it's still going well! Would be nice to use the small 12V UPS too, but 12V isn't a good match for NMC cells being halfway between 3S and 4S. Pity that LFP has lower power density. Hope they can improve on it.

You know what you should look into? sodium-ion batteries. I know Gokwh sells sodium ion packs now as motorcycle batteries. Im thinking about asking them for one. They would have cranking amps which could work for a UPS

@@ahaveland I agree I'm not impressed either. They aren't like go Grener Power / Redodo / Power Queen / Litime batteries. The Gokwh cells are definitely C grade, maybe C+

I'd like to, however right now I don't have a viewfinder for it just yet, and my digitizing setup is missing a PCI-E to firewire card. I grabbed my old card but realized it was just PCI to firewire lol.
