@@RustCole01 yeah, I think QB talent like his only comes around like every 8-10 years. That Georgia team is pretty good this year, especially the defense. But I don't think it has nearly close offense. I see a little Stafford once in awhile with JT Daniels, but he doesn't really play enough to get that comparison. Stetson is pretty good though. I've been a little surprised with him this year. I kinda hope the Lions take Matt Corral or Sam Howell next year. They've got to be better than Jared Gaweful.

@@thedarkemissary not really, that's why they traded him. He can't do what Stafford can do, as evidenced in Detroit right now. Stafford is benefitting from Kupp and Jefferson, but he would be making those plays with any receiver. Those 2 just make it better. A great team can make an average QB look great. A great QB can make an average team look good. Put a great QB on a great roster and you get a great team. The Rams were good with Goff, but it wasn't because of Goff. That was proven via a backup QB becoming the fan favorite. We hate Goff in Detroit, but we knew we would because we saw what he was in LA. In Detroit he is exactly what his critics said he was. An uncreative pocket passed who relies on pre-planned throws and play action. Stafford creates beyond the play call. He extends plays and actually makes the difficult throws. He goes through progressions and throws receivers open. Watch him, he'll let it rip into coverage before the receiver even breaks. He directs with his eyes and is much more mobile and aware in the pocket. He has a much stronger arm an insanely better accuracy. He's a tough MFer who isn't afraid to get hit and will dio his pads to get extra yards in crunch time. I've watched him truck guys in Detroit. He doesn't have to do that there. He doesn't have to play from behind all the time...but when the time comes he will put the team on his back. LA has a much stronger, effective QB in Stafford. If he stays healthy, and tge current roster stays healthy there's not much that will stop them. He only had a top defense 2 or 3 seasons in Detroit. 2 of those teams went to the playoffs...Detroit, in the playoffs. That never happens without Stafford there. Won't happen with Goff there. Rams have a legitimate SB chance with Stafford.

I definitely agree either way though, stafford is a much better quarterback than Goff. And I am glad that Goff can be “somewhere where everyone appreciates him” even though he can’t win a game 😂😂

It's amazing how often teams go for it on 4th down these days. I remember 20 years ago, teams would never go for it on 4th down unless it was 4th and 1 and they were on the plus side of the 50 and even then it wasn't all that common. We have 8 weeks before we play them again. Mcvay don’t make the same mistake twice. And that defense is only going to get better. Murray will start to crumble in about 5 weeks

Lions coaching, or management, play calling, personnel on or off the field, SOMETHING, made people believe that he was mediocre. Stafford isn’t afraid to sling it, that’s what Warner was known for, if you mess up, do it again. The lions never had a defense to back him up and a non existent Offensive line.

On the contrary, the only times the lions did have a good defense (2014,2016) Stafford took them to the playoffs. He still never had a run game tho and I am thrilled to see him succeed with the Rams. I want that pick they traded us to be number 32 so that one lions legend can get a ring.

Nah, The Lions are going to get the 1st pick. They need to try to replace Stafford, but there isn't a QB worth the #1. I see them taking Thibodeaux or a WR at 1 and grabbing Matt Corral or Sam Howell with the second 1st rounder. Then a WR or a safety with the top 2nd round pick. I think the Giants should go after Derek Stingley, George Karlaftis, Jalen Wydermyer or Garrett Wilson.

Stafford is much better than I thought when the trade was announced. I was thinking Detroit got the better of the deal. The Rams are in a win now mode and Stafford is definitely an upgrade 👍👍👍

My favorite QB of all time going to my favorite team. Just wonderful.

This was ugly for the Giants. The Rams absolutely dominated the Giants. Their receivers played really good today especially Cooper Kupp. Also, give credit to Matthew Stafford. The Lions were holding him back, confirmed. The Rams have another easy game next week as they take on a Lions team that got dominated by the Bengals today. The Rams will start facing legit competition again in November but after a loss to the Cards and a fairly tough Seahawks game, the Rams need this break. The Giants meanwhile have a winnable game against the CMC-less Panthers. Carolina has lost all three games without CMC and I don't know if they will win again until CMC comes back in a couple weeks. It'll be a close one that's for sure. The Panthers still have fight but they need CMC to take them over the edge.

Spent all that money on two guys who had 1 target all game. The coaches suck yes but were getting urgent and abandonded the run with the lead. Could even use a two te set to help slow down the blitz. Throw in the rookie rb and get creative. Nah let's qb sneak.

If the owner/executives at the top have any sense, they will let Joe Judge ride it out and clean house in the offseason. This year looks like a wash and the worse part is that the team has no real identity even though they are injured as hell.

This Giants season is definitely down the drain now; a 1-5 record with that many injured players is a hole this team ain't gettin' out of! The best that can reasonably be hoped is avoiding finishing in the NFC East basement (which might be doable if Washington can't fix their problems on defense).

He is actually pretty good at turning bad teams around, and getting them to mediocre. At least the Cowboys drafted three OL in the 1st rd, when he was the HC.
