Terrible Single malt

Nice review, Mark. I’m down to the last few inches of my bottle of Rampur, and it’s really improving as the level drops. The spice notes have faded a little, although it still offers a fair amount of bite, and the fruits have come forward. Amrut, Paul John, and Rampur really offer some very good whiskies that hold up well against scotch. Cheers.

Just got this for $80 in Costa Mesa California. Loved this! Prefer neat over with water. I felt the water made the palate much shorter. Cheers 🥃🥃

@@WhiskyWhistle I personally haven't tried Royal Challenge or Antiquity Blue.However,there's a new one in the market which is getting alot of appreciation.It's named as Sterling Reserve.I tried it once,it was smooth. When it comes to personal preferences,I like to have Paul John single malt in the Indian brands & there are many foreign brands which I enjoy

I'm looking forward to trying this one soon... Tropjcal flavors? Bring them on... Paul John has been availavle in BC for a good three or four years, now. The Bold and Edited were easy to find in Victoria... The Brilliance was a little more difficult to track down.

It's fun to watch your videos whilst riding my bike on rollers. First, the linen/silk bag muffles: "Extraordinary rendition (Humor in the time of coronavirus)." Second, What does the "challenge coin do?" I'm new to your channel and have only started drinking whisky seriously since I started traveling to Scotland, so no idea about the metal on glass before sipping (Some use copper to get wine to taste better?). And lastly, why did you leave Korea? Always curious about other expats decisions (Also new to living abroad). Thanks, Mark.

Hey Matthew! Wow it takes a tough man to ride rollers. I used to listen to punk rock back in my racing days. Now I am just trying to get back on the bike after a couple years of being lazy...not to mention having 3 young girls. Let’s compare notes sometime. The glass toppers or lids or coins(just poker chips usually) just let the fragrance build up before nosing. They also can lessen evaporation if you are a multi glass at once sipper. Also great to keep fruit flies out of the precious nectar! I left Korea mainly for my kids education but also as a new career was awaiting me. But with a Korean wife and kids that are dual citizens, you never know what the future holds. Cheers my new friend🥃🥃🥃🥃

Hi Shashikant Patel - I asked the company and they said, “ Sorry its not available in Gujrat.... only available at delhi and hyderabad duty free in India” As for price, I don’t know the price in India, however here in Canada specifically in Manitoba it is $130 plus an additional 12% tax. Nice Review BTW as per description Rampur should be the place Rampur in Himachal Pradesh not in UP which is actually in the foothills of Himalayas (near by Shimla).

I think you are thinking of Mohan Meakin’s Kasauli Brewery where Solan No. 1 is made.. Rampur as the name suggests is made in Rampur, a city in Uttar Pradesh. I now have a a bottle of Solan No. 1 so watch for that review. Cheers🥃🥃🥃 Mark

@@WhiskyWhistle weathers getting chilly as usual around this time of the year but what is unbearable is the ever prevalent dust particle air pollution ... causing cloudy sky and so forth. Yeah only found abt. ur channel as of last night and I am just a novice but avid whisky(or whiskey) enthusiast who happen to own 4 bottles of Yoichi 20 yo and 2 of 12 yo Yoichi , 2 Yamazaki 18 yo( although my pops popped one bottle ㅠㅠ). I just returned from Taipei yesterday and bought 2 bottles of Kavalan Soloist sherry cask 1000 ml at the last 20 minutes b4 boarding time at duty free shop. each costed less than$150 us. value... Had to buy it due to the fact that it is both pricey and hard to come by in Korea.

@@WhiskyWhistle Antiquity Blue and Royal Challenge are basically Rum (Large %age of Un-aged Neutral Spirit derived from Molasses) with some Indian Grain Spirit & imported Scotch concentrate.

I feel that is true for Royal Challenger, which I tasted; but for Antiquity Blue the malt content is very high according to my palate around 50-60 percent . I thought it was very good for the price of 30 something dollars here, Cheers🥃🥃🥃

Kindly don’t spoil the Rampur Whisky by giving a wrong Palette Notes ,there is no Floral or Lychee notes in Rampur, It has Dried Raisins ,Apricot,cinnamons,and little Pepper.
