I didn't go to Rampage Open Air, I saw T-ReX's review and it sounds terrible honestly. The big flaws were unacceptable. The pros you guys both listed were pretty good as well, but they still definitely need to improve on a lot of things. Great video! 👍

Worst Part: The water at the Campsite tasted really weird. So I was concerned that it wasn’t drinking water.

Neostone We asked for sinks with water that is save for drinking at the info point and we got the information that near the pool area are some. But if your right, than not having free water at the whole festival is complete bs.

I went and had a fantastic time, but I don't get why the farout stage was so damn small. When I first entered the festival area on friday I already knew this stage would be WAYYYY too small for the second day, and I was right. Sadly it was also raining that day so everyone wanted shelter. This meant this stage was fucking packed, so packed you couldn't move at that stage. I didn't give a damn about the rain so I just stood outside of the stage and went crazy while everyone was just standing inside scared for the rain lol. I hope they make this stage bigger next year because alot of people (like me) came for the jump up music the second day. Sorry for bad english I hope you know what I mean.

It was my first bass music concert / festival and I think a very good choice at that. Absolutely loved seeing all those producers in person and the vibes were amazing, everyone so friendly and caring which honestly surprised me. It's amazing what music can do.

Excellent review of the experience! Too bad I didn't run into you, would've loved a chat. :) Anyway about your positives and negtitives: - About the recycling , as someone who got a lot of drinks on the fest terrain, I actually think they did a great job on it. The way it worked was: you got 1 recycling token upon entry, and every sort of empty cup/can/bottle you could exchange for another token. Drinks at the bar (example: beer) would be 3 tokens, BUT if you also provide a recycle token OR an empty canister, you would get a 1 token discount on your beverage. In turn, the whole festival terrain in my opinion was very clean. I've been to a lot of (multiple-day) festivals and this has been the cleanest one so far. I hope more events implement this idea in the future. - Totally agree on the water situation, its a controversial issue, but yes being able to bring an empty bottle on fest site would be great and expected tbh - I also eat plant-based and yes, food options for us were very scarce. Hopefully better next year - I did not use the Woov app for timetables, but found the chatrooms a lot of fun. Especially to hype myself for the event on the days prior by chatting with fellow party-goers. - And yes the security was INSANE. Not sure about everyones experience but heard a lot of bad stuff (i.e. campsite tents being searched with sniffer dogs) My own experience was bad aswell. My buddy Kadaver was taken for a "random check" and had to take off his shoes and socks and was thourougly searched. Myself I was grabbed one hour later for a "random check" and had to pull down my pants and underpants and the cop shined his flashlight at my private parts. Have never experienced this at any event/festival before. Besides all that ROA was a fucking blast and I met so so many people. It was like one huge gathering of the entire European dubstep/dnb scene and then some. I really felt at home. Hope to see everyone again next year!

The eco system that they had was good. The festival site, was the cleanest site I have ever seen at a festival. As for the Dubstep and DnB stage, that idea was amazing. Although I still didnt get why the mixed the 2 genres on saturday though. Had to constantly switch tents because I only wanted to hear dubstep for the most part.

Let it Roll does the same thing with the cup tokens. They had a clip on side so u could hook it onto something. Some of the cups in the VIP area looked really cool so I ended up keeping a few.

Not allowing any type of liquid on the festival is normal in Belgium and a lot of festivals. It's just a safety measure. I'd say for their first outdoor event they did pretty well, there's obviously a lot of things to improve on but it was great nonetheless! They will have more water stations at the camping and now free water on the festival ground itself as well.

A few problems that i encountered : I paid 50 euros for a fucking tent and guess what, water passed inside in the 2 rainy days ( my nights were really bad tho), when i asked for festitents he told me they were all used. On the website they said " we can do an exception" just got on the festitent side the same night and tents were totally free and it make me pissed. Ah and the sleeping bags are more expensive than the tent wtfffff ????????? The fact that the water is so expensive, 2.50 euros for a bottle with the token was terrible. The voucher was completely useless ? Like idk if I'm the only one who hasn't understand for what it was but ok. We can't bring deodorants ? Like htf do you want me to take a shower without shampoo and being able to mask my sent ? The most negative was the showers, I don't care paying 5 euros to take a shower but at least make it visible and CLEAN, ENJOYABLE TO TAKE. Animations on the campsite ( the space bikes were fun 1 time then fuck it, same for the bull ) was fun but not much compared to the festival side. The pool was a good idea but with the rain it got fucked, and all the rest too tho we stayed with absolutely nothing to do on the campsite. The campsite was horrible but at least the other side was super, people were super happy and the feeling was nice. Hopefully they improve the food too.

@CasualDude I could care less if someone is vegan HOWEVER it is funny how you call it forward thinking when in reality they're going backwards on something that's been a part of human culture forever and suddenly now they think its "immoral." If someone wants to be vegan cause they feel bad for animals then whatever, but when people start trying to force that belief on others (which nawty isn't doing so I don't have a problem with him) it is ridiculous because their moral opinion means nothing and it's ludicrous to try and say it's "wrong" for humans to eat meat since we've literally always done it. And the stuff trying to say meat hurts the environment is political bs too but believe what you want

honestly.. rampage open air was sh*t.. oh sorry I mean SH*T with capital letters. As from an event organizer point of view, as well as from a raver's point of view, rampage open air was probably the worst festival I've ever attended in my life in every aspect (horrible sound system, shitty venue, rude staff, there was nothing entertaining there, etc...). The OG rampage is heavenly, I've never been happier than there, at Sportpaleis with 27000 likeminded people, a very f*cking special venue, awesome AV and artists but the summer one... I'm soooo disappointed in the organizer team about the summer edition. Also this year how much they are pushing it towards the open air...
