Shambo was great this season. Not as a player but as a character.

The major error of Galu was to send Shambo to Foa Foa all at time. She connected better with the rival tribe than her own tribe.

I know Shambo will never see this but I really enjoyed watching Shambo live. Her and Jaidon's friendship is still going strong to this day.

HELL YEA! SHAMBOOO! I met Shambo when I worked at Carl's Jr. in Renton, WA. I was working the drive-thru and Shambo rolled up out of nowhere and I was like 21 at the time. I got star-struck, first and only time I met someone I watched on TV, and Survivor is a huge deal for me. Me and my mom watched it every week when it was on, and Shambo was her favorite from Samoa. She was nice enough to give me an autograph, she had a bunch of pictures of herself with her in her car lol She's great and I'd love to see a Shambo return someday. And yes, I gave my mom the autographed photo

She said she has no interest in returning. She was asked back for Season 26 and declined.

Shambo is absolutely that archetype that is a decent person, but an absolutely horrible player that in most seasons would have been one of the first people out but got put on the tribe that won everything pre-merge. Feel a bit bad for how bad of an edit she got at times in this season.

Googled Shambo today and it linked to me to an instagram with a bio of “if your name is Laura, I don’t fuck with you”

Shambo was important because we learned there was fish in the ocean…..for real Shambo’s kooky but has a good heart

If they had spent as much effort into Natalie's edit to make her the hero of the season instead of Shambo, it could've been the ultimate good vs evil story.

Always loved Shambo and I liked seeing her tiffs with Laura and Dave in the show. Unfortunately seeing the way Dave Ball talks about her in interviews to this day has really soured me on him (he liberally uses terms like "bitch" or "retard" to describe her).

Although Shambo was clearly a flawed player, she is undoubtedly one of the most spirited castaways. Plus I applaud her for attempting to calm down Jaison at the conclusion of Schmergen Brawl, after Jaison threatened to attack John.

Bad survivor player but a lovable rootable underdog Loved watching Shambo when I was going through Samoa and she was one of the few highlights from that season for me

Everyone knew Russell played a good strategic game. However, social game also comes into play when talking about who played the best game. Shambo is one of the few people to play with Russell that respected him because he's kind of a dick. It makes sense because she's kind of the same way lol

Shambo was a terrible player, only surviving because Galu dominated pre-merge and then she quickly became one of Russell's pawns. She was also a great character, and the last interesting player in the game besides Russell (which contributed a lot to her weird edit I think, all the good characters leaving left her as the #2 priority character for the edit, even though she only finished sixth). The more time passes, the more interested I am in Samoa, it was so ridiculously weird. The final six between them barely cobble together a rounded player - Russell's strategic game is obviously legendary, and Natalie (social game) and Brett (challenges) each have one of the big three survivor skills, but Russell's average challenge abilities are the only other non-negative: Natalie and Brett are bad at 2/3 of the aforementioned skills, and Mick, Shambo, and Jaison are all utterly hopeless at everything. I do think Shambo at least had the "winning as a goat" strategy set up pretty well, even if it was by accident. She's so obviously abrasive to everyone that no one views her as a threat, but is also charismatic in a way that could nab votes with the right jury and set of opponents. Of the members of that hopeless final six, she'd maybe have had the third or fourth best chance in another random series, behind Russell and Brett, about even with Natalie, and well ahead of Mick and Jaison.

A good example is 34:57, the John blindside.

Ok I’m going to get a lot of hate for this but I don’t like Shambo at all. The thing that I was not a fan of was the fact that we’re supposed to believe she is this underdog and that she was struggling on Galu which I know she was but then it counteracts that by her being condescending and vindictive to everyone on Galu and doesn’t try to adapt, while yes flipping and siding with Russell did help last longer in the game she had zero chance to win the game and she was never in the driver seat. She wasn’t that fun to watch for me where it got to the point where I just said “Russell please stab her in the back already.” I might be in the minority but every time I see Shambo get praise that she was a hero on this season all I could say was “she’s not a hero, she’s an idiot.” If I’m supposed to believe by the show that Laura M and of Galu are the villains and Shambo is supposed to be this hero then I’m sorry I’m siding with the bad guys. If you like Shambo for more reasons that I can’t understand that’s fine more power to you but Shambo was one of the of people of this season I just couldn’t like no matter how many times I watch this season.

So since last video I finally watched Samoa. I will leave my thought on your review, but one thing is pretty clear to me: I still really REALLY dislike Shambo and I don't understand why am I in a minority. (I respect your opinion, but I just don't get the hype)

She was awesome. This season as a whole fell flat. One of the worst Survivor winners ever.

​@@OnceUponAnIsland What could they have shown though? It's not like NW had any unaired strategic plays, it would just be some dull-ish around-camp scenes that really don't make for great television. And they already gave her a couple like when she bonded with Laura pre-merge (when Liz got mad) or when she killed the rat.

Usually characters with unique names are fun to watch and fun to be around. Shambo was as bland as foam board and she was so fucking bad at playing this game i was suffering the more she survived on the show
