RAMBO First Blood (1982) Filming Location Sylvester Stallone sly movie locations by Mr. Locations
Фильм және анимация
Discovering the locations of the film Rambo First Blood, film with Sylvester Stallone (John Rambo), Richard Crenna (Samuel Trautman), Brian Dennehy (Will Teasle), David Caruso
(Delegate Mitch) from 1982 by director Ted Kotcheff, based on a novel by David Morrell.
This short film of mine tells about my 2 trips taken in British Columbia (Canada) in 2010 and 2016, to discover the original locations of the film.
The film was almost entirely shot in Hope, but some scenes were also shot outside the country e.g. in Port Coquitlam, but always in British Columbia.
Good vision :)

Indeed. I was a school boy in primary school when movie came to cinema and only grandma was interested to go with me and she like it so much. Great memories.
One of the greater movies ever made, no special effects or digital finalization. Just a whole film crew in the cold and rain on location. The best way to make movies ! Grazie !

Not an Academy award winner, but still one of the all-time classics. Rocks don't change much but, as with most things, it is the one constant thing. (I'm still waiting for Leroy to get that painting done!!)

Agree and also First Blood is actually not part of the sequels , if you read the book Rambo is killed by Troutman .. but after test screenings of that edit audiences didn’t like it so the director went back and reworked the ending.

If it wasn't for Sylvester Stallone insisting on making the movie in British Columbia, there wouldn't be a Hollywood North. Great work finding those locations!!
I'm 46 and while I'm not elderly, I feel so old because l remember not only the 1st time I watched this, but l can remember vividly my surroundings; every smell, the carpet in my old house, the window blinds, and our TV with the wooden speakers it was on. And although l can remember it clearly, it was more then 30yrs ago. Time goes too quickly. Do not waste your life ❤
This is one of my favorites movies of all time, I was 12 when this came out and my dad wanted me to watch it and it is and was my favorite Sylvester Stallone movie ever and I've watched it countless times, the music is phenomenal also, the story line, the action and the emotional attachment, I felt so much empathy for Rambo when he went looking for his friend and he'd died from agent orange, then in the end when colonial trautman went into the building to talk Rambo out of it, so sad when Rambo broke down asking where everybody was, one of the best films ever! Sincerely Lorenzo gig harbor Washington.

Wow what a reply Renzo, I don’t need to write my reply as you covered it all there, I know it’s not Casablanca or Gandhi but there is something about 1st blood, one thing I will add it’s very Atmospheric also.😊
A legendary movie! A big fan since 1993 when I watched it for the first time when I was 6 years old.
Rambo series has made many memories to me. From 1982 to 2008, I have watched all in the theatre with my family. These are the golden times.....cheers.
I'm glad First Blood has withstood the test of time. It was one of my favorite movies (if not, my favorite) in the 80's (close tie with Rocky) but at the time, it truly wasn't that popular of a movie. I am glad it has gained a lot more attention now. Nobody knew what PTSD was back then. Now, everyone knows what it is. And everyone in the world knows who Rambo is. Go to any country in the world, go to any military base in the world and they will know Rambo. I just purchased my first officially licensed Rambo knife the other day. It has always been something I wanted since 1982. I truly hope Stallone will create the PREQUEL series...BEFORE BLOOD...
The Rambo theme is so nostalgic.. I wish I could rewind time.
What a memory that time when i watch the movie was way back in my early years..such a peacefull small town..never thought that someone would share this photo..great work..
It's nice that these locations are still there and so recognisable too! Good job Hope!
Loved the 80s would live there forever if I could go back
Grazie! This is the best filming location video. I love Rambo First Blood. The best Stallone film. I knew the town of Hope was used for the film but I've walked through Othello Tunnel without ever realizing it was used for shooting that cliff scene!
I love how most of the props are well preserve after almost 40 years since 1982, especially the mountain. Kudos for them...

I live very close to Hope and have been there many times. It's a very nice little town, really hasn't changed much over the years, has lots of chain saw carvings all over town. BTW, that's not a grizzly bear, it's a black bear.

This video was posted 5 hrs ago but I just found it. In 1982, I was 17 and I watched this movie at least 10 times. I went to the movie theater 10 times!! Each time it was sold out, packed. When Rambo escapes from the jail and beats up the officers, the audience yelled and clapped, it was soo cool. Watching this video with the soundtrack playing in the background, makes my eyes tear up with emotion because it was a time in my life when things weren’t going very good but each time I saw this movie with a packed house, it made me feel like I was with close friends and family and we were all there to put our problems aside and escape into this movie.

My father and I drove through Hope back in the mid 90's while travelling from Edmonton, Alberta to Kelowna BC. We drove around, pointing out the different filming locations for Rambo. Even after only 13 years since the film was released, buildings were different and scenery was starting to change. The only thing that we weren't sure of, was the bridge at 2:11 . It looked much smaller in person than it did in the movie. Thanks for the video! It sure brought back fond memories.
