Although we make fun of Mopar, GM or Ford from time to time, I still appreciate all these hardworking people who keep building cars that run on fuel. One day when the world is taken over by electric junk, we will look back at these historical footages the same way we now looking at the 1950-60s automobile manufacturers videos. Quite a sad direction we're heading actually.

I mean I love gas cars but oil is a finite resource we were going to have to find an alternative at some point. Our species had no other choice.

It’s crazy to see how much more automated the 5th Gen line is. Not even completely automated, just enough to make it more ergonomic for the workers.

What? No paint? The painting is my favorite part of the whole process.

My Ram truck hauls my 30ft rv and hauls building materials with ease. Best truck I've ever owned by far. Plus it's very comfortable.

Oh my gosh they work so hard for the money they get !!!the robot making all the hard work for them and even on the production line !!!! Back then they make cars with real tools and hard working hands and they get pay not so much .

My point was that if you think about it from the business side you have no call outs, no insurance, no retirement, no liability, no raises, less workers, 24/7 operations, no workers comp, no problem like you do with employees or having to babysit either.

Cool ordered my ram classic tradesman quad cab 4x4 v6 in May 2021 picked it up in july of 2021 great truck 👍🛻

Yessir! If you miss a part and the truck passes you up, they ship it to you regardless. My truck didn’t come with an engine but I really wanted a new ram so I took it anyway😔

Mine is still in D status. Once all parts have been received for the build it will go into D1. The TRX has a big backlog of trucks from orders from early last year that RAM is still working on. Hopefully on the next 4-5 weeks I will go D1.

I just purchased a 2022 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, I ordered it in 6-21. And it was finally delivered on 2-17-22. But Damn was it worth the wait!! It is Awesome to see the way a similar truck is put together…👍

I own a total of 17 Ram 1500’s. 8 2016 and 9 2018’s. All the 16’s have been in for broken exhaust manifold bolts. We are on the 3rd 2018. Seems to be an issue.

Bryan the Platinum doesn’t even come close to the Ram Limited. Ford is so cheap feeling and my work truck rattles and squeaks so bad I can’t stand it.

I never knew the cab and bed were made right there at the plant I figured they were prefab then put onto the chassis , I own a 2nd gen 5.2l and 3rd gen 4.7l Ram 1500

This plant was really cool. I worked in it when I was in Detroit as a traveler as an Union Electrician

Lol, fuck you can tell you never leave the city limits, try taking that pile of shit up a logging road and then having it towed out on your own dime every month. And no one else having the same issues I had? The exact same issues you can find on KZread over and over? 🤣🤣🤣 On the exact same model of truck? Im sure like yourself going down to the BigGulp its a fantastic truck for that, try putting one to work in the real world... and yes we purged the fleet of Recall Rams and with a mixture of F150s and Sierras dont have anywhere near the nightmare maitenance bills associated with the ones we had running the Rams.

Did RAM ever fix the notorious 'Hemi Engine Tick' in their V8 Hemi engines? I was going to buy one back in 2018, and read about this issue online.... so went to a dealer and had him start up 3 different RAM trucks..... every one of them clattered like a diesel for about 15 seconds or so, until oil pumped up into the cylinders I presume..... that cannot be good long term, and certainly makes a new truck sound like there is something wrong with the engine. I ended up buying a Ford F150 Lariat, and gotta say, I really love this truck - my first Ford ever. But, I still look at the interior of the RAM, and feel like that is the most luxurious in the truck world. We did purchase a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Willy's last year, so.... no haters! lol

Currently have the tick on my 2011, approaching 200k miles and the only thing that's gone out was the evap valve on the gas tank and ac compressor pulley. Besides the sound the tick has never been a problem for me I suppose. Others mileage may vary.

I volunteer to drive a 1500 Laramie on a 10 year test drive service for Ram ..

@@ProductionPlants6 The TRX is not my choice my choice is RAM trucks .. My fleet vehicles are most Rams with the exception of 2 step van that I have for my plumbers / HVAC guys…my personal truck is a Ram also… I’ve had good experiences with all of them they have all worked fine I was I have had to do is minor maintenance and oil changes so I speak highly of ram trucks from 1500 to 4500 series

Put a little glue on that door handle so it will not fall off!

I just want a complete 3500 or better truck minus all that electrical crap unless its stand alone no motor or transmission I'll go old school mechanical diesel and manual transmission.

Hopefully comes out with a update and a more reliable engine then the cheap diesel. GM baby duramax is a killer. Best truck on the market right now outselling ram and Fords

@@MrHamm1234 That was part of the plantwide Covid protocol I believe but I'm not 100% sure. It was all taken down by the time I started at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in December 2021.

Would have been better if you picked a truck and followed from start to finish instead of jumping from one finish step to a mid step back to finish then start. much easier to see how it all goes together if you go from start to finish.

I purchased mine in Michigan, it was slightly used. But it was certified pre owned. Much cheaper there than in Illinois where I live, ended saving about 5-6k

If you look close to the RAM you can see the box beginning to rust already.

I was a mechanic for most of my adult life, and I can tell you working on Cars and trucks like these a lot of swearing was going on, but I notice as these folks build these Trucks not one looked pissed off, frustrated annoyed or having a hard time. or even arguing with fellow workers, is it because the camera is rolling and management told them they have to on there best behavior or is it always like this, in fact they look a little bored, how does one choose what part of the line you get to work on or is that chosen by seniority I noticed some where in a uniform and some looked like they just crawled out of bed, I have to say I did see some OSHA violations, like some women wearing big loop earrings, you would think that could be dangerous , machinery could grab hold, and some of the men wearing pajama style shorts, the kind you would wear in the gym, to me loose clothing is a hazerd, I have worked in shops and always had to wear the proper clothing for safety reasons, like steel toe boots for instance I am surprised while working on an assembly line that any kind of loose clothing is aloud, but with all that said I have to say every one works well with each other at least that we can see on film.
