Honda Marysville Auto Plant is a Honda manufacturing facility located approximately six miles northwest of Marysville, Ohio, and 42 miles northwest of Columbus, near the intersection of the United States 33 and State Route 739. It is one of the most integrated and flexible auto plants in North America. Operations include stamping, plastics injection molding, welding, painting, sub-assembly and assembly. The assembly plant opened in 1982.
Marysville plant is equivalent in size to 39 Wal-Mart stores under one roof. Honda overhauled the Marysville plant over several years one department after another without losing a day of production. During overhaul, Honda replaced old hydraulic welding systems designed for specific models with programmable electronic welding robots that can weld different vehicle body types for better flexibility and higher productivity. Work started in 2002 in advance of the launch of the 2003 Accord.
In 2004, Honda commenced work on a 234,000-square-foot extension of the plant for a new paint facility of 123 milion dollars. The new facility uses high-efficiency ovens, air recycling systems, and more efficient variable drive motors that would save 34 percent energy. The company also built a 20-million-gallon pond behind the plant to recycle rainwater for helping to cool the plant. By recycling runoff from parking lots and roofs, the 7 acre pond system would significantly reduce the use of groundwater and save energy cost. The new fully automated paint shop, which can paint 1,000 vehicles a day, was opened in January 2006. It uses a new waterborne coating system, with 84 Motoman robots, that reduces emissions of hazardous substances by 41 percent.

Too bad they are planning their own obsolescence this decade.
My 2005 Accord made in Marysville, OH, currently has 340,000 miles and runs perfect.
That plant has made a large number of cars over the years. My 2004 was built there and still runs like a top after 345,000 kilometres

I have a 2018 Accord Touring 2.0t that I bought used 2 years ago with only 15k miles. It is my first non 8 cylinder car and first Honda. I understand why people are so loyal to Honda. It is a really good car.

not sure why honda lost 40%+ sales this year, owned 2 accords, a civic in the past and currently still own a 2018 odyssey with first application of 10 speed trans, hope honda survive the EV transformation and makes great EVs in future.

I just bought a 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0t model, and after 3 months I am extremely pleased with it. The build quality seems EXCELLENT. Hats off to all the workers at this plant- you are doing a fine job!

@@desioasis2378 I'm definitely debating a ktuner for mine, I'm no stranger to tunes like that but I've always owned BMW and recently an Infiniti so JB4 was the go to for me or ecutek and MHD don't have much experience with a ktuner but I've seen tons of videos on it, it seems to turn the accord into a tire shredding monster, Before i get it id definitely try to get into some Michelin Pilot sports, the stock primacy's i believe just can't hang, The pilot sports are pricey on a 19 inch wheel but i think its worth it
I just got hired here, they really care about their quality and safety for the ppl.

Wow shoutout to these workers for making such reliable cars. Still remember my parents driving my siblings and I in a 88’ Accord. Now a proud owner of a 2010 Honda Accord EXL still running strong w/ 240,000 kms.

Honda seems to be a phantastic car. Reliably, not too expensive, looking good, everything you want from a car.
Honda is one of the most powerful cars on highways and has great popularity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I personally own a Honda Accord 2022, a very good and powerful car that does not consume a lot of fuel
Honda has been part of my life since I was an infant. My dad worked at the East Liberty plant for over 30 years and we always owned Civics and Accords. My '91 Si is my baby. Almost half a million miles on the body now. Swapped out the original D16A6 with a JDM B16A and it's a thrill to drive. It's like a go-kart on steroids.

I have my '92 Si Hatch and my '92 EX Accord Wagon(cb9), built at Marysville. Even the CB9's shipped to Japan were made in Ohio. Great build quality, awesome cars, a blast to drive with double wishbone and disc brakes all around on the CB9 Wagon, and struts on the Si Hatch. My 1st Honda was the 1972 Z600 Coupe, handled like it had velcro tires, incredible 51mpg. Oh, I also have my '86 CB700SC Nighthawk motorcycle. Shaft drive, hydraulic valves, incredible bike, I'd never sell it. So, I have Honda's two best cars (not counting the OG NSX) and Honda's best bike, and since Honda makes the best cars in the World, I'm set. Hondas Rule.

I bought a new 86 Accord that was built at this plant .. I'm currently driving a 2023 Ridgeline pickup.. my 4th Honda product I owned.

Exactly. That's engineering. A lot goes into it. Even a lot more than what's shown here. Design, Material selection, Electronics, Software, Calibrations, Programming, ... A lot of things that are sometimes taken for granted....

Unfortunately no auto maker is making anymore coupes they can barely sell sedans now to where its profitable with such a high demand with suvs and crossovers.

The quality control checks of Honda is impressive! Not all automakers are so good. I used to sell new cars for Hyundai and later Ford. The Hyundai Santa Fe models had a consistent unexplainable wind noises during test drives. Very embarrassing to explain that to customers. At Ford, we had a few brand new fully loaded Mustang GT Premium models that arrived with body paint overspray showing up around the wheel wells. Again, very embarrassing 🙄

1988 Honda CRXsi, purchased right out of college after owning a 2005 CRX, best car I ever had - My current 2010 Honda Element is my second favorite - My previous 2005 Honda Element had 396k before the head gasket went, sold it as is to purchase the 2010 - E's are awesome and have a very strong E Cult following these days... \m/

I've owned three Accords. All of them white. My first one was a 1990 Accord, then a 2010 Accord, and then a 2018 Accord 2.0 Turbo. I loved all three. The 2018 is the best. 😀
I like Honda, they make quality pressure washers.
You have to see the 4 die press in person to really appreciate what a beast it is. To control vibration it sits on a footing that is 3 stories deep and contains the equivalent of over 1/2 million 80lb bags of concrete. As the dies drop the air moves out in a noticeable "whoosh" and when they hit you can feel the "thump" in your whole body. Its not a particularly loud sound, more of a gut thing. The various parts move in a mesmerizing way, like a well choregraphed dance.

Hondas are looked at as cheap people cars but they are a great investment saving hundreds of dollars on repairs and way better fuel economy than most cars . They also look so good now and people are always staring at my 2016 civic coupe

What is that hybrid engine drive belt for? My Toyota hybrid has no engine drive belts.
We started purchasing Honda vehicles exclusively in the mid 80’s till 2007. Then we had bad experiences with 2 crooked dealerships in the Memphis area
I used to work at GM, I started in 69. One of my occasional duties was to stand where the cars came out of oven after the paint job was baked. Had a tray of tiny bottles with all the paint colors to dab at any spots that were missed. I never saw one. Eight boring hours.

So what’s the deal with Chevy full size vans. Every one them I see have peeling white paint exposing the primer.
My 2018 Honda Accord has now 190.000 km on it and I couldn’t of asked for a better car.
So that's what a new Honda Accord looks like.
Satisfied owner of the following Accord models past -present: 1995 EX V6, 1998 Coupe EX V6, 2011 EX V6, 2022 Sport 2.0Turbo all driven new out of the lot but, respectfully not feeling anything about this one ☝️

I got a 2020 nissan versa sv in monarch orange and i love it. i'm a toyota girl but thats just the car i ended up leaving the lot with lol i think i dropped the gun too fast and didnt bother to see what else other cars i could potentially buy 😂 but its all good, i'm GRATEFUL.
