I've met him. He was very nice and OUTRAGEOUSLY handsome - I couldn't believe it. He was so good-looking (and SO narrow), it was almost unreal. Pictures and movies do NOT do him justice... trust me. He made sure to smile and give eye contact to everyone when he gave his autographs. I was on cloud nine after my encounter.

He was a scary character in Schindlers list and Harry potter

he's not mean, he's shy.. I know! He kissed me on the cheek on the premier of the A-Team in London 3 days ago but he was sooooooooo shy, but still very very verrrry sweet and we all would have done the same thing as that flight attendant! :D

I don't think he is cold or dull, I think he is shy. Alot of people are mistaken for being something else, like being arrogant or cold where actually they are just shy people. Don't judge before you know.

I don't believe I've ever seen a man as soft-spoken as Ralph Fiennes is. I also get the impression he suffers from anxiety IRL; he looks rather nervous here, for example. If it's true then I can relate to it, since I"m shy and anxious, too.

I know this comment is 7 years old, but I think you’re right. I’ve been binge watching interviews of his over the last few weeks and sometimes he stutters, fidgets from time to time, and there’s also an interview where he made a comment about the 2020 pandemic that made me think the isolation was bad for his mental health or made things worse :/ He also seems to have a severe case of resting bitch face, so he often looks mad when he’s actually the opposite

Interesting interview, it shows how deeply actors have to get involved in the movies they are playing, they have to be cultured and sensitive beings in order to represent so many kind of ideas and situations, it's almost a philosophical matter.

I think the interview is interesting and so are his answers. He can be an actor but he has no need to be jolly.

The English pronunciation of this German interviewer is a catastrophe. Don't we have journalists who can speak better English? Ugh...it's embarrassing! And his accent is so beautiful. And yes, I have to agree, he's just shy. He's a shy man. What's wrong with that? He's a brilliant actor and intellectual man, that's what counts the most!
