You could disagree, but at least show so much respect not to call his oscar win "robbery". Sometimes people tend to forget the Academy doesn't shovel out Oscars by the dozens. Instead only four of many marvellous actors/actresses can win each year.

Amon Goeth’s daughter said that when she watched Schindlers List, she immediately knew he was portraying her father before his name was on the screen. To be able to portray someone, especially a villain, so effectively that their own family says you nailed it, that’s a true professional.

And not just his family, but also the survivors. He fully triggered one of the survivors' PTSD when she saw him in costume, poor woman went shaking non-stop and had to be helped to stay standing.

The pain in his eyes when he started to speak about Amon gave me chills man. The portrayal will never be topped, but it hurt him to have to *be* the essence of evil.

Rameses just has so much wonderfully deep characterization and Ralph channels him perfectly!! There’s so much betrayal and layers of emotions and love, and overall, Rameses is a tragic and sympathetic antagonist.

That's where I first saw Ralph Fiennes, when he played Amon Goeth. I thought to myself "who is that actor? He's so brilliant!" He really brought that character to life. Really made you feel who he was. Such a talented and beautiful man. I try to never miss any of his films. 😍❤

the UK has set out to take a big role in the field of drama and branded actors and actresses for international projects because it built an empire not just for the country but as well for those who stands in line to claim their places,witch includes only a few hand selected people like Fiennes,i consider them slaves because they are financially dependent on the structure others has embraced as they continue to supply the needs of the masses to sell an idea of self worth. personally i am fed up with the corporate entities and connection between the UK and the USA because the underdogs who are equally talented doesn't receive the recognition then those who stood in line waiting to be picked up -like Fiennes. the discrimination continue to exist today in our society are not just funded but fueled by those who choose not elevate themselves and take on a new role as mentor and help others to achieve great things because they are so stuck up in their own superiority that their ego needs to be fed continuously.

His role in Grand Budapest Hotel was absolutely amazing, he was totally hilarious

The Grant Budapest Hotel. One of my top 3 favourite films I've ever seen. Ralph Fiennes was just legendary in it. Ralph is, in my opinion, one of the best actors in the universe. Totally believable.

I cant believe Red Dragon wasnt mentioned... I was excited to hear about it. But nonetheless, FANTASTICCC actor 🙌✨️👏

I saw him live at the London Bridge theatre. He’s simply stunning in every way. Easily one of the greatest actors of all time, his roles in HP, Schindler’s list and the English patient are all some of the greats performances ever. What a legend, we should cherish him whilst he’s still around.

One of the best actors of our time. I could listen to him all day long. Love this man, his movies, his personality.

He was absolutely brilliant in his role as Amon Goeth.

Red Dragon is awesome. Ever seen the first movie version of that book, "Manhunter"? Same story, made in the 80s before Silence of The Lambs...Brian Cox plays Hannibal Lector! Lol

Coriolanus wasn't even on my radar when I saw this interview. I'd never heard of it. Just saw it this week and I was blown away. Fascinating story and the layers of meaning in the text made for a brilliant film. Among my top 3 Fiennes performances ever.

Ralph, Kingsly and Liam were all robbed of an Oscar. Such a good movie. such good actors.

schwartzy65 well, he was talking about coming up with the design of Voldemort’s wand. And if you have ever seen Voldy’s wand compared to everyone else’s, his has an undeniable hook at the bottom. Exactly like he described.

Everyone go see The Menu. It's a really fun and darkly hilarious film and Fiennes is outstanding in it as you'd expect.

I’ve often seen Ralph Fiennes in movies, but forgotten it was him. Not because he isn’t memorable, but because he embodies the characters he plays so well, he just disappears into them.

He should've won Best Actor Oscars for The English Patient and Schindler's List.

He was good in English Patient; Geoffrey Rush was amazing and rightfully won that year. He was unlucky for Schindler's but it was an incredible year in that category.

No Maid in Manhattan??

Probably the most attractive man of our generation.

His character in Schindler's List tells you all you need to know about an actor. If you hate their character, especially because of how evil they are, then they did their job. He made me hate Amon Göth so he did his job.

Ralph Fiennes has always been a world-class actor, and truly beautiful as a young man. He still has those captivating eyes, aging has not dimmed them a bit. One could get happily caught for days in his eyes. He has such incredible skill in his craft. He's one of the best.

He was so evil in Shindlers list to funny in The Grand Budapest Hotel. The man has a ton of range!

So much respect for this man! This is definitely missing The Prince of Egypt and Maid in Manhattan. Such an underrated actor.

Once I was in the same burrito-stall queue as him in London. He was so kind and hot and let the burrito makers take pics with him. It was a genuinely joyful experience just being near him.

The English Patient was the saddest movie I’ve ever seen . I haven’t been able to look at the desert without thinking of it . Not quite sure what that means, but his performance was immaculate.

Possibly the Most underrated Actor ever. Should have at least one oscar. He is a genius

Oh my God. I got goosebumps when he said "You just have to hate Harry Potter" and then laughed. I almost saw Voldemort.

Can't believe he's still underrated. He deserves an Oscar so much !! One of my favorite actors. He plays evil men so well like in the Duchess, Schindler's list and HP. I'm a bit disappointed they didn't talk about the duchess and the Reader. He chooses his movies very well. To this day, I've never watched a movie with him that I didn't like.

How has This man not won an Oscar it makes no sense

Another hidden gem he was in is “Quiz Show.” A great performance as an Ivy League American blue blood who carries a dark secret.

Oh yes, one of my faves!

What an intelligent, articulate, thoughtful person he seems to be. I'm so impressed with him. And: for my money one of his best roles was "Quiz Show". He was phenominally well-cast for that, and did a superb job. I'd love to hear him talk about it.

His performance in The Grand Budapest Hotel is a daily one of my favorite of all time. Incredibly funny and full of character

Ralph Fiennes is one my favorite UK actors along with the late Alan Rickman.

One of my favorite roles he played was actually being the voice of rameses, moses’ brother in the prince of Egypt. I thought the character was so brilliantly complex for an animated cartoon film. He was the villain but you understood his pain and why he acted that way. I Love ralph💕

I couldn't agree more! My favorite part is when he sings the line in The Plagues, "Then let my heart be hardened, and nevermind how high the cost may grow, this will still be so: I will never let your people go." Gives me chills just thinking about it.

Anthony Minghella's vision with The English Patient was truly remarkable. The plot of the film (many say lack thereof) was of no consequence, bc the intensity of emotion expressed by the actors was the plot. The visuals, the soundtrack...all genius.

The English Patient is one of my favorite movies. Got it on dvd and watch it quite often.

When he passes , generations of people will know him for his role in schindlers list. The man doesn't need an Oscar to know he is a good actor.

He has such warmth and kindness in his eyes normally, so it must've taken a tremendous effort to portray someone as evil as Amon. A true acting master.

I loved him in the grand Budapest hotel, never knew he was so good at comedic timing

Christopher Nolan said that what makes a movie great isnt the hero, it’s the villain. This guy is probably one of the best actors in the world when it comes to playing villains

My favorite movie of his is Red Dragon. He plays a serial killer and his portrayal of him is so brilliantly done. He somehow brings the humanity into the character and as creepy and disturbing as he is, I still always find pitty and remorse for him. It's disturbing and humanizing at the same time and one of his best portrayals of a bad guy (although he's brilliant in other roles as well).

When Ralph acts it makes me wanna cry.He's extraordinary.

I love him, he's been a huge part of my childhood and is forever iconic.

Dear God what an actor. Schindler's List, Constant Gardener, Harry Potter, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Such varied roles, all performed perfectly. One of the all time greats.

Legend.. It's such a shame for academy that he doesn't have an Oscar yet...

when you say an actor is "it", the thing that just makes them greater than life or that kind of awe that draws people in, i think of Ralph Fiennes.

Why so little about Goeth, that character was absolutely amazing and terrifying!
