There's no rescue or saving going on here. He's funding animal cruelty by paying the grocery store for these animals, ensuring that they buy/capture more animals to sell. And for every one they sell, there are probably multiple that were caught and died before they could make it to market. Not to mention the deaths of countless other animals from bycatch. This channel is using and abusing animals to get people to donate for his profit. And keep in mind that now those crabs that might have fed a family are being fed live animals by some huckster on KZread who fools people into thinking he's rescuing animals. He's multiplying cruelty.
The octopus part especially hurts to watch. They’re incredibly intelligent cephalopods, and watching that one basically “trip” after trying to move was incredibly heartbreaking. I’m not against eating animals, but I’m very much against keeping them in poor conditions while they basically just wait for it to end

They aren't dogs. I find it unlikely that they are aware that they are being cared for in any capacity of affection ( i think proven by the fact that the crabs keep trying to claw the dudes hands) & while I can't prove it, i'd bet that both crabs would prefer to be back in the wild instead of confined to a small prison called an aquarium.

@@elin_ Way to miss my point dude... "not only domestic animals feel things" Gee, thanks Captain obvious. Take note that i never said that they didn't. Try not to 'strawman' "they're probably not super aware that someone saved them" - try "not at all aware" " but so what??" I stated that he saved them from being eaten sure, but to be held captive in a small confined tank when i'm sure they'd rather be back in the wild. Domesticated animals such as dogs need providing homes, wild animals i'm sure would rather not be held in captivity. " Do you only give to charity when you can brag about it on social media?" what ever gave you the idea to say something so stupid. I'm not even on facebook, twitter, tik-tok or whatever else there is out there so unless you count You-Tube as social media, i'm not even on it. Nor do i have any videos showing the homeless pets that i've adopted or managed to return to their owners. What was even your point of posting? To show the world how big of a diick you are? I never said dude couldn't keep his crabs as pets. Just that 'unlike dogs who can & usually do figure out that they have been saved & exactly who did it, that the crabs are oblivious to that fact & if you could ask them, they'd rather be back in the wild. I don't think I can simplify it any further for you.
This was So freaking adorable how they got excited for food and how well they adapted to their new home. Didn't realize crabs could have such animated personalities. I did build a window cage though that they could crawl into but cannot get out. I haven't finished it yet. Uh yeah they're literally sold as food.
Crustaceans will cast out bubbles that formed in their shells after being out of the water for extended periods of time, refilling it with that tasty water
I keep having this recurring dream whereby I'm swimming in a small aquarium whilst being watched through the glass by upwardly mobile blue swimmer crabs wearing matching blue pants. Sounds positive in the end.
The fact that it feels like they actually have a conversation and talk about stuff and giving each over a try
Omg. Why did this make me emotional??? You're amazing for saving them!!!

Some crabs will blow bubble nests to conceal themselves, considering how exposed these crabs were, the combination of better oxygenation and a sense of cover was probably very appealing.
You're such a good guy for doing this. God bless you, man.
Great job in saving these crabs and given them a second chance in life👍🏻

i hope you can save the frogs too, i have kept frogs as well, and as long as your hands are clean and moist, i found my frogs would quickly get used to and even enjoy being held, theyd relax and sit chill with you; also would actually lean into gentle scritches on the side.

custard burying himself in the sand with the leftover shrimp is like the crab equivalent of when you eat dinner in bed and then fall asleep with the plate still next to you

Thank you so much for the effort and quality you've put into this!! So amazing 😄🥰😭😭🥹😍😋 I feel for these creatures!!! We're so lucky we get to eat them but look at how much enthusiasm and different personalities they have 😇 I wish we could save them all but it is part of nature to eat them as well... I'm so grateful there are videos helping people get to know these different animals. Each one is so unique and full of personality. People tend to ignore that when they're hungry 😭 You'd think as an advanced species we could do better with this planet full of wonder!

It is fascinating to see that they have a natural inclination to save some of their food for later. That’s interesting
These channels saving things we usually eat is interesting. I have always been aware of personality difference. Florida was a wonderful place to grow up. You could raise different sea creatures right where they live. I had a fascinating childhood.

After watching shows like this and Leon the Lobster…. I’m amazed at how much personality and how smart these creatures are. I used to think of them as kinda mindless objects for food. Now I see them as really alive. I almost feel bad for eating them. Almost.

Gosh, this sounds almost like Leon's story. He is a grocery store rescued lobster that I've been following for two years. Who knew crustaceans would be that interesting.
