@@elin_ Way to miss my point dude... "not only domestic animals feel things" Gee, thanks Captain obvious. Take note that i never said that they didn't. Try not to 'strawman' "they're probably not super aware that someone saved them" - try "not at all aware" " but so what??" I stated that he saved them from being eaten sure, but to be held captive in a small confined tank when i'm sure they'd rather be back in the wild. Domesticated animals such as dogs need providing homes, wild animals i'm sure would rather not be held in captivity. " Do you only give to charity when you can brag about it on social media?" what ever gave you the idea to say something so stupid. I'm not even on facebook, twitter, tik-tok or whatever else there is out there so unless you count You-Tube as social media, i'm not even on it. Nor do i have any videos showing the homeless pets that i've adopted or managed to return to their owners. What was even your point of posting? To show the world how big of a diick you are? I never said dude couldn't keep his crabs as pets. Just that 'unlike dogs who can & usually do figure out that they have been saved & exactly who did it, that the crabs are oblivious to that fact & if you could ask them, they'd rather be back in the wild. I don't think I can simplify it any further for you.

@@dragonnet289 true on the first part, they only tend to live for 1 - 2 years, but the animal dying eventually is just part of getting a pet. Mice only live for about that timeframe and plenty of people keep them as pets. Second part is just strange though, of course you need an enclosure it cant just crawl out of, but thats again pretty much a given for every pet, and an octopus only lives for a couple minutes under ideal circumstances outside the water anyways, so its not like theres a risk of it getting out into the ecosystem.

I did build a window cage though that they could crawl into but cannot get out. I haven't finished it yet. There's no rescue or saving going on here. He's funding animal cruelty by paying the grocery store for these animals, ensuring that they buy/capture more animals to sell. And for every one they sell, there are probably multiple that were caught and died before they could make it to market. Not to mention the deaths of countless other animals from bycatch. This channel is using and abusing animals to get people to donate for his profit. And keep in mind that now those crabs that might have fed a family are being fed live animals by some huckster on KZread who fools people into thinking he's rescuing animals. Josh, congrats on going viral! The view count is off the scale relative to your other videos. This is a wonderful experiment. I hope you're documenting a lot. I'm very curious to learn about how these crabs adjust and how they acclimate to their human overlord (you). It would be really neat to see just how far their personalities develop. You've probably got about 3 years of time ahead with them!
