Raising a Blended Family in Jamaica Part 2
Country White Jamaican tells a bit more about what it was like raising a blended family in Jamaica. It was a simple fun life raising 6 kids on a farm in the hills of St. Ann
Miss Mel and her family spent a lot of time sitting around the dining table and sharing special moments of the day. Even now, living in foreign, the family remain close and get together and share food together and share stories of their adventures as a family living in Jamaica.

Awww. My sisters and I used to play shop with each other as well. Memories... 😌
Sunday Morning breakfasts were the very best for us as well. It was big, special, and always after Mass. So, tea and toast and an orange, religiously, before Mass; then nice long conversation-rich breakfast around the table.

Always the best times!!!
I can see that you are a real jamaican I love this this is wonderful thing you make me feel proud to be jamaican .
Nice. Just describing the Sunday morning breakfast and family time, took me back to nostalgic family times growing up. These times were special. Present times are boring, individualistic and unhappy.
So they had their own little radio flyer waggon? How cute. 😊

Oh so warm and tender with your children…wish I was number seven. Thanks for your wonderful narration of your life memories. Great stuff!
I did live on a farm but sounds a lot like my childhood around the dining table with my parents and sisters such great times
Pleasant Saturday afternoon to Miss Mel and Subs🙋♀️
I just love listening to your stories. It just brings me right back to Jamaica. I’m from Trelawny right next-door to Saint Anne’s and yes that was our kind of living, living on the farm, it was such fun -oh my gosh these kids don’t know what they’re missing. 🥰

Hey Mel it is a tight knit family that is filled with love, yes there are codes that the kids speak with and now the grandchildren will take over where they left off. Mel your life experiences make me smile because it's so surreal I could listen to your life experiences all day not boring not at all!! Keep it up Mel you just don't know how it makes other feel to know it's real.

I just had to pull over and write a comment. I was nostalgic and it wasn't my experience. I grew up in Kingston and loved it. No traditional toys but we had lots of fun. Life was good and food also. I love your stories
