Yes please do any kind of painting , embroidery, stompwork.....whatever you want to share...we want to see AND HEAR you do it on your channel. I love the longer demonstrated videos!
Every time I watch a different video of yours Sarah I add a new project to my list! lol new order of supplies too! Great nod as always!
Of course I'm watching this video! I don't think I've missed a video since I became a patron. I always learn something new or reinforce old learning as I did in today's video. For a long time after your classes in Portland, I wanted you to continue them because you are the BEST needlework teacher. But, actually, now I much prefer the online venue because I can watch the videos anytime, 24/7. Your filming is SO GOOD (thanks Jonathan) and you're still the BEST teacher. `

Now I'm always there when you need me Lois! I did enjoy my trips out to Portland though...
Found this video really informative. I have wanted to do a Alison Cole project with a painted background. I now have more confidence to try it. Thank you Sarah
Brilliant! I had no idea my colored pencils will work on my fabric. This just opened a whole new world for me. You are amazing 😻
Those blackberries are incredible, nearly edible 😍
I'm glad you liked the photos I sent. I was hoping the photos of things in progress might be useful. The berries were very fun to make but it's difficult to resist cutting out them out before they're all done! I think each berry might have wrapped around a wooden bead to give it shape but I don't remember for sure. If anyone wants to give the mushroom and blackberry design a go, the design is called "Forest Floor" by Kay Dennis. You can find it in Inspirations magazine, issue 104. They also sell the design as a downloadable PDF.

I am so sorry for the inadvertent thumbs down. In fact I love your piece and was aiming for the reply icon when my tablet slipped. I don't think I can change it. Thank you for sharing your berry design, which I am planning to try, and I enjoy mushrooms and earthy scenes. I'll see about covering a bead, as opposed to stuffing the berry.

You are in the right place then Lisa!
Can't wait to try this project, thank you for sharing your talent with us,i was gifted awhile back a book on stumpwork but was a bit intimidated about starting .
Thanks Sarah, for another really useful video. You seem to think of the answer before I have thought of the question and you make everything so accessible - even creating the background, which for a non-artist like me is possibly the most daunting part!
Just love this, it was everything I needed to know about an interesting background, thank you
Thank you Sarah!
Always such amazing information! I just love the idea of enhancing the background with watercolor.
Sarah, thank you so much for taking your time to share all these details with us. Beautiful work. Hope to have a go at this soon.😊
I'm looking forward to making this cute little dragonfly. Thank you Sarah.
The forest floor and the red dragon both amazing pieces breath taking. Thank you for showing us through your tutorial 😀😍
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love this. Thank you for sharing and the downloads.
Loads of ideas! Will definitely watch and practice how you do your wings.
People are so talented. I'm looking forward to seeing the dragonfly project finished. I don't remember if you said you would show progress from viewers who are joining in. That would be fun to see. I am still at embroidery kits, and not brave enough yet to venture out on something like this.
Sarah, Jonathan and Ginger; I wish you a happy new year, plenty of good health and .any blessings. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge with us .
Most definitely inspired dear Sarah xxx Thank you so much xxx
Thanks, Sarah, for another informative, helpful video 😁
Thankyou Sarah Really looking forward to starting this new project .I have tried a little stump work on my own before, not too successful,so I gave up. I know it will be much better with your brilliant clear guidance and explanations ,and I won't give up this time.
A beautiful work of art, as always 🤗 Hello Sarah, Jonathan and Ginger Cat!
Amazing dragon, Lois!
Oh, I love, love, love that you are hosting this stitch-along! I'm just sad that I won't be well enough to join in on the stitching for a very long time. I shall, however, be tuning in next week to follow along with your instructions. I hope that, at some point, you'll be able to share images of the work produced by a few of those who join you on this quest. Thank you so very much for doing this; what a great way to kick off the new year!!! 💖

@@heden1460 Aw, thank you so much for the good wishes! I'm trying to focus on each little forward step and ignore the sometimes accompanying steps backwards. I was able to sleep really well last night, so today feels like a much better day. And I'm so grateful to have the creativity of Sarah and all of her followers here to keep my own creative spirit satisfied. I hope you'll be able to work a bit of stumpwork and send an image of your creation to Sarah to feature in next week's video. If not, I'll look for your work in, hopefully, some future showcase. Until then, happy stitching!😀❤

Thank you very much, Sarah! Your videos are real life lines for me, especially at this difficult time. They are keeping me going, distracting me from the pain, and providing me with invaluable motivational boosts. You are not only contributing to my expanding knowledge of embroidery, but are contributing to improvements in my health. Such a wonderful thing your are doing for me; I hope to be able to express my gratitude more fully once I dig out from under the mound of medical bills. In the meantime, I'm sending my heartfelt thanks! ❤❤❤

I had heard of bull rushes before but didn't know what they were. Where I'm from we call them"cat tails".
Hi Sarah, what would be the best brand of watercolor paints to use on fabric? Most watercolor paints are used on paper, so on fabric will the colours fade with time?
@SarahHomfrayEmbroidery
Жыл бұрын
They won't fade if you use artists quality Adrienne such as Winsor and NEwton, Daler Rowey or Daniel Smith
Needle lace pleeeeeeeeease
