Rainy Season Walk in Beautiful Mountain Village | Kawakami, Japan 4K Rural Afternoon Ambience
Kawakami is a small farming village in the mountains of Kamikawa in central Hyogo, Japan. It's one of my favorite villages to walk through with its terraced rice fields and flowing canals alongside a cascading river. The sound of flowing water is almost everywhere, and in this early-summer season the green from the rice fields looks unreal. It is the rainy season now, so later in the walk we are treated to a nice bit of rain.
If you are interested in what this village is like on a sunny day, I filmed a walk here a few months ago: • Sunny Afternoon Walk i...

Fabulous Kawakami farming village in Hyogo, Japan! The streams, river, rainy day nature walk is restful for the soul! The villagers keep their properties so tidy and neat! It's a pleasure to view. Stayed with you 63 minutes on my treadmill. As you walked through the green undergrowth, I wondered if Japan's woods and forests have any poisonous plans that you need to be on the lookout for on your walks? Of course, here in California, we have poison oak that is everywhere in wooded areas, other places have poison ivy. We also have to be aware of ticks while on walks, does Japan have ticks as well? Just being curious me. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful video! Happy Safe Travels, Margie

Thankfully the ticks are confined to the far north it seems, and I'm not aware of any poison oak or ivy. I walked along the river with the leafy green vegetation a few months ago and the path was clear, leading to an interesting wooden bridge. It's amazing how fast things grow this time of year, happy tredding!

Hi there! Just imagine, in the bustling world of cyberspace, where every little keystroke is like a whisper among a crowd, my comment might seem like just a quick flicker. But hey, if it has managed to catch your eye, please know that it comes with a meaningful intention. Remember to stay strong when times get tough, okay? Because you've got all the strength you need to make it through any storm.

What a lovely little village! (and you seem to do an excellent job of not letting your umbrella enter the frame, something I've failed at many times...)

Thanks, this village is one of my favorites. The umbrella did make an appearance or two...it's always a balancing act between protecting the camera and staying out of the shot as you know. A lot easier on a day like today with minimal wind.

I was wondering that myself. My guess is that the owner of the fish farm put it out to catch something eating his fish, possibly a fox or maybe a tanuki🤔

Unfortunately, Japanese social life is rarely seen outside the home, Japan is beautiful but sometimes lonely without people
What camera are you using here?

Where is everyone ?
What do people here do for a living

My guess is most are farmers. I have heard the government supports these small fields to make them economically viable but I don't know the specifics for this little village.

There are a few people out and about doing work around their homes. An woman stopped to talk to me for a while, a man stoked the fire by the fish farm, a few others can be seen doing work outside their homes. It's also Sunday so many people would be inside. But it's a small village, and like many here the population is getting smaller...
這應該是人間仙境😮
