I often dream of my family, in my grandmother's home on the hill, taking shelter during a huge storm. It's an intensely serene feeling, and I always see loved ones who are no longer with us. Your comment is absolutely beautiful and reminded me of those dreams :)

The comfort and warm atmosphere felt inside the campervan along with the view of the rainy day from the window is a truly unique experience. The relaxing sound of rain sounds like a natural lullaby, and I think it's the best background music for a good night's sleep. 🌧✨

Reminds me of the first time I discovered that rain pitter pattering on a roof can put you to sleep in no time flat. This lake side cottage that a family member owned in beautiful New Hampshire after a long day of summer fun in my early teens ended with a rain storm. I thought sleeping in the attic would be kinda strange. Now during a rain storm when I'm tired I find excuses to clean out the attic just to sit from time to time to bring me back. Thank you for sharing this. It's now my go to at bed time.

I really like the *variations* in the sounds on this one. The same sounds over and over and over can be soothing for a while, but then they start to get on my nerves. I like hearing a much more natural rise & fall in the pattering of the rain, its intensity, its droplet sizes, occasional gusts of wind concentrating or dispersing their clusters... Thank you for this one!

@@Moonfixer check out Relaxing Soundzzz channel. There is one video in particular featuring a lighthouse. The view is through a small window looking out onto a lighthouse during a heavy storm. The pattern of the rain changes throughout, and there is wind variation.

I can’t explain it very well but I like this one a lot because the sound is like “Ahh” and not “ooohh”

The bare, gnarled trees outside remind me of the natural environments I used to love as a kid. They were my favorite part of going camping with my family. There was such a deep contrast between, on one hand, the exhilarating, almost supernatural feeling of exploring a strange space at night and, on the other hand, the physical and spiritual comfort of 'coming home' to the temporary domestic sphere kept up by Mom.

I basically grew up in a camper with both my parents and grandparents owning and frequently living in them. This is nostalgia, safety and comfort to me.

This is my favourite rain sounds video on youtube which is saying a lot because the platform is, ahem, flooded with them. Super relaxing and comforting.

So nice. So cozy. Makes me feel cooler on this humid day. Nice blend of hard, staccato drops on the roof and wind-driven sheets of rain on the windows and camper sides.

@@roberte2945 "Frying bacon" is an apt description. Sometimes its so uniform it has the opposite effect and stresses me out.

I really love this, I feel closer to home a little bit with this room because I had a red room with Christmas lights that I stole from my mom and it felt cozy and serene. I loved it. 😍 now I live with a roommate in an apartment with the ac always on and it's cozy when it rains. Awesome 👌🆒️

This is my favorite, too. I go to sleep to it and often restart it if I wake up and it’s ended. However, I can pass on the Department of Revenue ad that blasts in spontaneously. Especially at around 3:00 in the morning. It doesn’t always happen, but still. And it’s very loud.

This is really, really nice. The overall coloring and not too bright lighting, the contrast of the black/white foggy outside view. It really says “rest here, you are not missing out on anything. Relax.”. Thanks!

Where are you from?

I love this! It kind of reminds me of the time I helped a friend drive his RV cross-country back in October 2010. We spent the night in a couple of parks in Iowa and Tennessee, and I teased him (just a little) for calling that camping, because I had only ever been primitive camping myself, but it was actually pretty fun. I have to say, though, the camper van in the video looks cozier and more inviting.

I like sleeping in my Prius when it is raining. Very cozy. Not as cozy as the mobile room pi tired though.

First night in my rv trailer to hear the rain all last night and all day today. 09/28/22 WoW. my new recreational vehicle trailer, three tip outs, 38' long, fireplace, central ac/heat is a Jayco Eagle ht 294ckbs check it out. So awesome to hear the rain I have missed the sound of rain on my roof, it's great in a trailer or vehicle. To hear the rain live again.

As something of an audiophile I've had to learn to reduce my expectations with most of these "relaxation" oriented ambient audio-scapes as they usually don't get much more technical than a free sound sample that's looped with a image place holder the uploader felt looked nice. Rarely do you find a unique sound scape let alone one that appears to be tailored to the setting. Thank you.
