Great Taichung vibes here! I actually haven’t had a chance to visit the Rainbow village yet. Definitely on my itinerary in the future. One of the things I love about Taichung is the abundance in bubble tea shops. I personally recommend trying out more local places. Stay safe and enjoy your time at home 🙌💯😎😊

Your daughter would love the Studio Ghibli museum in Japan then. That place is incredible! No photos or video allowed there but such a cool place 💕 this bus stop was really neat, it was created by a fan and he made it out of scrap materials 🙂

I (andy) actually used to work at a bubble tea joint for a couple of year during high school lol. love the anime on the wall!! So many great characters. Soooo many flowers, I would prob die from allergies lol IT's a shame you had to cut your trip short but you're right, there are far more worse things that could have happened and I think you guys made the right choice. Every when we were there ppl were out and about only difference was almost everyone wore masks and there were cleaners everywhere. I think jumping on it so early did the trick they managed to keep the numbers low and then eventually stamped it out.

The animation lane is soo cool! we will definitely visiting this area if we ever go to Taichung which we love to! we will not sure how to choose the ice cream flavor in that shop haha, heard that so many great choices there :)

Thank you Barry! We are both well thanks. We are moving down to Alert Level 3 tomorrow after 5 weeks at level 4. Yeah tendon is one of our most FAV meat part and always save it for last and yes has to be really tender :) ow so Bubble Tea was born in 1983 in Taichung :) good to know!

We did end up seeing Rainbow Grandpa! 🥰🌈 Unfortunately when we went back once we started filming he was gone though. Didn't realise he's 98, that's incredible! Thank you, we're so glad we made it back too before NZ shut its borders 😯

Miyahara Ice Cream look sooooo cool!! LOOOOL!! Peter: What's that place you call with books? Yen: A Library? HAHAHAHA!! I can totally relate with Peter hahaha!! Asian Hogwarts :P with ice cream!! I think NZ's cream is super creamy, I don't think we can get that anywhere, not even in Malaysia, our "creamy" ice cream will be pretty off for a ice cream connoisseur :P

Yeah! Go us non book readers 😂😂😂 one thing about leaving new Zealand is the ice cream everywhere else is pretty disappointing 😅 but that's ok cause there's boba tea in Taiwan that can't be beat 😁

It felt really high quality lolll. And they filled it to the brim! It was like a sophisticated bubble tea 😂

Peter and Yen I was staying with a friend and had the use of a scooter but I didn’t see any of the great places you showed. I wish I had watched the video before. I hung out at some good libraries and large Starbucks and some neat temples. Now I’m in Taipei and I like it here much better

We def have to go to Taipei. We didn't know they had so much anime things over there. I guess we would take a cab to go there because Lieles would not walk, not even for anime hahaha

This one's taichung about 1 hour high speed train away from Taipei. The second largest city in Taiwan. But both are very cool places to visit 🙂✌

Yea all this nonsense is so crazy 😞 I can’t wait for it to be over. Glad I guys are safe. Don’t worry travel will be back. I know timing sucks. I had the biggest trip of my life planned and paid for ☹️ I know how ya feel. Enjoyed this last episode tho

Aww man your massive Europe trip!! 😭 Feel you on how sucky it is to have to cancel it all 😓😓❤️ Hopefully when you can eventually go it'll be even more beautiful than before though coz at least mother nature has had a breather with this whole pandemic and places are cleaner now without all the human pollution! ❤️

i want to visit the graffiti when i go back to Ximending. last time when i was at DIARY OF XIMEN now HOTEL 6, it was behind me the whole time! down the street from my hotel. i had no idea until now. its cool that the office of the president is a short walk.

Wish you could give us dates or age of certain structures and a little of the culture and people traditions etc

Sorry guys! I love trying new things but while in Hamilton (which lets face it, its Hamilton lol) I tried bubble tea and was let down hardout! So have not tried since. In saying that, it’s quite hard to find bubble tea in New Plymouth. It still looks yum as!

Hahah all good Leah 😂 maybe one day you'll come across a delicious one and be converted but that could be dangerous too 🤣 and thank you hun. Doesn't seem like NZ will be opening borders any time soon but it's ok.. thankfully we live in a beautiful country with plenty of domestic travel that we can do and explore still! Even living here like 30 years there's still a ton we haven't seen so it'll be fun 🙂❤️ Hope you're keeping well and safe!
