People keep asking in the comments where they can find this to watch... your best bet is to try 9anime.ru they have the series in 720p but it’s the highest quality I’ve seen online since Funimation took down theirs.

Just get it on nyaa .si, THAT is where the true highest quality and so many different dubs exists. Watching it online in shitty quality is a crime.

Is there no blu-ray release of this in english? Because we have one in Germany, so i thought english should have it too. Normally we don't have stuff that doesn't already exist in english. Well, the sells from the blu-ray where really really bad. Like only 200-500 sells for volume 1 or something like that. Maybe we are just lucky that a publisher tried it. Now I'm hoping that a publisher tries to do Monster xD

@@rusakeajjawi4316 the manga, where i live, in Italy (I have more pasta and pizza in my body than Blood lol) Is pretty known by seinen readers and had a lot of reprints by star comics and Planet manga, but the anime isn't that known 'cause the target, the serious themes and absence on legal sites (VVVVID, Crunchyroll,Prime and Netflix). I'm talking as an Italian weeb and I don't know how much Is popular outside my country or in Japan but remains the fact that this masterpiece Is underrated af

Just finished this anime.....jeez

It took me a while to really understand this opening, and... Wow... The way Madhouse is able to manage the colors in their work is something absolutely outstanding. Showing the boys' past, the grey scenario, and then theirselves in the future, coloured. But Sakuragi turns himself in all the rainbow colors, meaning the mix of all the other boys dreams. And in the jail... The gap between the coloured outside and the grey inside... That is AMAZING

I'd be lying if I said this anime was perfect but definitely as hell wouldn't be lying if I said this opening is perfect, it fucking slaps.

What did this anime do wrong to not get the attention it deserves? I just don’t get it. Like, most of the people who’ve seen it fucking love it, yet the problem is that not a whole lot of people have seen it to begin with. This is some top tier stuff.

Realistic character designs, lack of superpowers, a realistic setting, etc. The average anime fan doesn’t care much for a good story they just want to have fun. Stuff like My Hero Academy provides enough of that to them.

life changing anime. the colors and story in every episode sheds light on japan's state after the war, and tells a beautiful story about brotherhood and teamwork. 10/10 anime you wont regret any second of it.

This was the first and only story the man wrote after he escaped the underworld. His grasp on interpersonal suffering and relationships is astonishing. This is by far one of the best things i've watched.

ugh that scene from 00:01 when he walks by with his hand on the tree UGHGHHHSHS I love it. Especially since I'm reading the manga now even tho it takes a minute to update. RIP George Abe, the creator. He passed away last year in 2019. If you haven't read the manga i suggest you do, it's just as gripping if not more, than the anime

Watching this anime is such a experience. You feel sad listening to their stories, you get angry at the injustices they suffer, you feel compassion for them, and when one of them succeeds at something you feel proud.

Still RAINBOW's is one of the most hardhitting metal openings for a very hearttouching anime, after the beatdrop it gets so emotional and beautiful... The singing is so cool and kickass. Makes me feel like I'm wrongfully imprisoned but I need to hang in there because there's still a place inside this world, where i Must go back to Once More... 1:30am 1.2.2024

I never forget the Day a random Guy on mal recommended me this! This anime is pure epicness!

Watched this in the summer of 2015. It was underappreciated back then, and is even more so now. No clue why no one talks about this series.

Just finished this today. A masterpiece, it is personally one of my top favorites and will rewatch in a couple of yrs or so. This is the only anime that made me cry so much. What I really love about this OP is that the scream in the beginning, it's like it captures what the audience feels or will feel from watching. Truly a masterpiece.

It really makes me sad that when I talk about this epic masterpiece...nobody gives me a response like- hell yeahh I have watched it too kinda stuff...these people don't know what are they missing..this anime is full of goosebumps and emotions..and really teaches us the true meaning of bromance...and its Op is damn..and it matches with the intro so well it gives me goosebumps all the time..I am really glad that I am in those precious and blessed people who have watched this masterpiece ❤️

I just finished the manga this morning, truly a great and wonderful story. As dark as the story got the hope that always broke through because of the boys of Cell 6 was heartwarming and uplifting. It has left a mark on me that few anime or manga ever do or probably will

The animation from 2010 was way ahead of its time...

Maaan, this anime deserves so much more attention and praise. So dark, real and emotional. I don't understand how such a masterpiece can be so underrated??

One of the best anime ever made, while I was watching I couldn't believe that such a masterpiece is pretty much unknown in the community. It shows the harsh reality and struggle of life while also showing the beauty of friendship and brotherhood. It's not often that a piece of fiction makes me emotional but this one is just special. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend you watch it, you will have no regrets.

The racing guitar and hard-hitting singing still rocks in this opening and hits emotionally. Especially the _"there's.. A.. _*_pot_*_ inside this World!! Where we must go back to Once More!!"_ came back because Bleach: Brave Souls 8th Anniversary trailer music reminded of it! 20.7.2023

Loved this anime. Almost got tears of happiness seeing how far these friends went for each other. Only minor complaint is they didn't focus much on Soldier (especially) and Cabbage. They were the two that seemed like they had the most interesting backstories based on the OP. Was hoping we could've explored it like we did with the other characters

Cabbage got a focus episode at least, Soldier didn't even get that. From what I hear, Soldier got his own subplot in the Manga, but that's a long time to wait for him to have the spotlight. Especially when you consider how much of a spotlight, Mario, Turtle, Scam and Joe all got.

Also, i'd say Hajime no Ippo is pretty under-watched and this definitely made me "feel" everything 10 years ago, when i watched it. Rainbow was incredible true! I've watched it twice and i feel i can watch it again and experience those sentiments like it's my first time. Incredible characters, incredible voice acting and so on...

I really hope more people find this anime and experience it for themselves! It was really good! I actually discovered with a friend it by using a random number generator to select one of the top 100 anime on mal and watch it cuz we were bored. I finally got to watching this anime and I just finished it. I really hope one day the story can be completed in anime form. There was still plenty of story left from the manga. The anime did it so well, and I just want to enjoy these characters for just a little while longer...

Rainbow: Beautiful, yet tragically fleeting, and yet it is enough of a ray of light for us to push onward through the darkest of times. This anime was a masterpiece. Hard to watch at times. Emotionally engaging. Will make you actually feel for the characters.

Just binged this within 2 days, its the first 10 I've given to an anime in so long. The Anime had a satisfying ending despite manga content existing (which is also fire af) not sure another experience quite like Rainbow exists
