I think he said somewhere that one of the boys is a depiction of himself, although he never told which character. ... Sadly, the author of this manga passed away some time ago, at the age of 81...

Damn.... This anime is the only one to make me cry so many times. It made me feel like the characters were real... their brotherhood is really special. I just finished this today, it is definitely in my top anime.

Somehow I can feel the presence of an-chan motivating me to do anything, even if he's not an existing character

Just finished the whole series today. I cried a lot when Jou got too late for the music festival, but got his ultimate wish to find his sister Meg. This anime is such an underrated gem!

I'm so late with this anime but I came across it after reading an "underrated animes" page on fb and I'm so glad I found it! This anime was not only a different story line then most but it was based off a true story and kept my interest through the entire thing. I couldn't stop watching episode after episode. When we finally got to hear Jou sing was one of my favorite parts

I thought after that episode 12 it wouldn’t live up to my expectations but damn it knocked it out of the park I loved it till the end 10/10 would recommend and when this song started playing I was in tears 😭 😢 this has become one of my favorite songs
