why is it your favourite?
I still have the MSDOS version showed at 26:00 but unfortunately I cant make it run... :( This was a perfect game. Everything was done so well. Andrew Braybrook did a great job with his Commodore Amiga implementation.
Nice to see the CPC got some love in this conversion instead of the standard Spectrum cast off.

what makes you believe (think) the Amstrad CPC port (version) wasn’t a lazy Spectrum remake?

@@jasonlee7816 Craftgold did an amazing job on the spectrum release, though this version is the 48k release. The 128k release had music similar to the Atari's (having the same Yamaha music chip)
Original version is classic WonderSwan version is cute Putty is the first female character, she’s cute❤
Believe it or not, there is a version missing in this video, the Empire Interactive/Xplosive Windows release of Bubble Bobble and Rainbow Islands, not to be confused with the awful Acclaim version released years before. This one was released around the time of Taito Legends 1, but only in Europe, I managed to get it cheap from a US seller on Ebay, just don't have it installed on this PC (the previous PC I had, I installed the games). Shockingly, the music in Rainbow Islands is completely untouched, not sure how the heck it got released with the Over the Rainbow theme intact, but I won't complain.
Who thought it was a good idea to make it a vertical and horizontal platformer on the FM Townes?
A great "old shool" game, however very difficult 🙂
