As a grandparent, I don't like slime and won't buy it because it's too messy. My daughter in law feels the same way. Playdoh is okay but not slime. I'm only mentioning this in case someone from MGA watches this. The dolls are cute for little ones. I'm not a fan of tinsel in the hair & glitter on the faces. My granddaughter likes really bright colors. Because my age, I'm a vintage Barbie Collector. I bought some Rainbow High for my granddaughter. I would like to see dolls for younger girls/boys and othee dolls for older girls/boys.Great video, thank you.

My Froggy suggested putting a little led light in the pet, make it a lamp for your dollhouse 😂...

Toya (MyFroggyStuff) managed to remove the glitter using nail varnish remover. She was very careful not to muck up the face make up and I think that I would wash the face afterwards or wiping it with a cotton pad. Maybe if you ask Kaden, he could carefully remove the glitter off their faces for you. I do think that they have been seriously attacked by Edward Cullen and have been taken to the dark side now.

I have two daughters ages 9 & 13 they loved Rainbow high, shadow high, Juniors they all had great quality, articulation, everything was just Wow!! Sunny and Skyler are the two that I feel a sense of 'well.....maybe?' when it comes to this wave of dolls. If this was a completely new outfit on sunny I would find it charming and do think she got one of the better purses but I still feel ambivalent to this sea change in general.

I really don’t get the popularity of “pets” with dolls. Even as a kid I never remember caring about monopose mascot creatures taking up space in the box (like the bushwoolies that came with the 80s MLP Princess Ponies.) Then again, my most “kids these days” opinion is probably that I can’t stand the saucer-eyed chibi monstrocities that have passed for “pets” in most girl-targeted toys since the heyday of Winx Club and nu-Littlest Pet Shop, and I kind of hate most mascots more cartoony that Sailor Moon’s Luna (the squaky Precure ones are a particular irritant) so I accept that my opions are just entirely outdated.

"Saucer-eyed chibi monstrocities." Yes! Your comment is so spot on and totally makes my day! The saucer-eyes have contaminated so many toy, doll and plush brands in the last decade or so (Beanie Babies and Littlest Pet Shop were utterly ruined!). I also remember getting Barbie pets that came with the dolls in the 90s and never liked them. They were disproporately small, unposeable, hollow pieces of hard plastic. I've never understood the appeal. There are toy brands that make high quality realistic animals that are so much better.

Sunny in particular, I find her new design really hard to differentiate from the junior high dolls. I really don't understand why they didn't target younger audiences with the junior high (which I think they were regardless) and keep the mainline dolls to be more aspirational/slightly older

I know. Unless the regular dolls were truly not selling well, why not do multiple doll lines for different age brackets? The bigger the audience, the better. Even if they had to release new dolls for each line less often so they could alternate releases.

Kids love slime and I am sure they loved it in testing, but moms won't want slime play in their own houses.

I also meant to say that your idea of putting beads in the shoes instead of slime is genius!!

I managed to scrape the glitter off the face of my Slime Sunny with a wooden tool, something hard but not hard enough to scratch the vinyl. I like her a lot better now and adore her faceup. The lips on yours are different from mine, so that's interesting. In other news, I'm sitting here trying to remove the transparent wound dressing from my latest tattoo and it's a slow process.

Unrelated but related, getting it wet with warm water or just popping in the shower will make it way easier to get your tattoo protection off. Taking it off dry is a journey you can avoid lmao and congrats on ur new tattoo!

Hi!! This is the first video of yours I've seen. It was sent by a friend as we were discussing slimy Sunny. I just read your bio and I'm older than you and still loving dolls! And I'm a Supernatural fan too!! Lol. Anyway, I just took off Sunny's glitter by rubbing it with my nail, and plucked all her tinsel hair because I can't stand it. A LOT of work. I don’t love slim my nine yr old niece got me into this six months ago before that I was just a Barbie doll collector. I know since bought her ALOT of rainbow high dolls all of the 2nd wave the closet and group tour van with all the band members . But he slim I will not buy as her mom and me are not fans of the mess. We have the salon and have had a blast with that but we hate slime and glitter booms. But I love your channel and of it wasn’t for my niece I would have never found your channel six months and binged a lot of them. lol😊

Sunny is my favourite but the junior one has too much eyeliner and her bangs are too severe. I will miss the older versions and am now collecting them from thrift stores as they show up there. I absolutely agree with you that if we hadn’t had the Rainbow high of the last three years I would definitely find these cute. It all seems like a post Covid dream that we even had them in the first place. I hope they bring more back for the collectors. 🙏🥰

I am sure that many moms and grandmothers will not be happy with the glitter dolls with which children will fill the whole house and probably not buy many of the new Rainbow High dolls. So I don't know if this particular reboot was a good idea. I don't hate them, I just don't like them, but I don't like series 1 dolls and all them versions (except Sunny in pack with Luna).

Yeah, the series 1 dolls looked too chibi-style for me. The later dolls with different head sculpts were much better to me personally.

This line of dolls is intended for children. The Rainbow High line lasted for several years with fabulous designer fashions, fabulous hair conducive to restyling and great makeup. Those dolls were not “playline” dolls. MGA is moving their focus and, for marketing reasons, it’s a smart business move.

Are you going to do more review of Ily 4ever dolls ?

Im sure they made those appeal to Kids so the Adult Collectors would gravitate towards the new Bratz.

That's a solid theory, but it feels like such a downgrade. Bratz were cool back when they debuted, but these days they're kind of mid. They aren't posable, have intense sameface syndrome, and still have those dang plastic chunk feet so we can't always exchange their shoes across skin tones. I'd love to see MGA's internal memos explaining these choices.

The dolls are pretty but slime is not necessary. We are paying for that and adult collectors--like me--will throw it out. So not a worthwhile purchase.

I can see how this would appeal to a younger child. I don't like it at all! Even I do like her better out of the box!!

They overdid it badly with the tinsel. Plus, this is terrible for kids and adults with sensory issues who don’t want to touch all of that tinsel. 😳

They are not that bad but because money is limited, I'll put mine somewhere else. Big problem is the diversity issue. Also slime and glitter are so messy and polluting... Glitter is forbidden in Europe and that's a good thing

The over use of glitter & tinsel make these dolls look gaudy to me. Although I enjoy crafting for & customizing dolls I’m not interested in making anything with slime. Sorry MGA but you’ve lost me as an collector.
