I have always had ads disabled for all my videos, but viewers have been reporting that they're getting them anyway since around September 2022. This is happening across all channels, not just mine. According to a poll I ran, it seems that if you do not have a KZread Premium subscription, there is a 1 in 3 chance you will get an interrupting ad in the middle of the video. Despite being a member of the KZread Partner Program (i.e., monetized), I have no control over this. Further, I have reviewed my analytics and can't find any trace of those ads, so I am not receiving revenue from them. I share your frustration and am doing everything in my power to uncover what is going on. I reported the problem to Creator Support multiple times and even provided proof, but they claimed it couldn't possibly be happening. I suspect that either KZread's ad algorithm has a bug, or KZread is running an experiment and did not tell us about it. Ultimately, I am just another user of this platform and can only do so much. Additionally, I depend on revenue from this channel and am hesitant to say anything that could interpreted as disparaging to KZread and result in my being targeted for demonetization. For now, here are the options: 1. Roll the dice and hope you don't get an ad. The odds are in your favor, I guess. 2. Listen to the live stream version (link in the description). KZread does not seem to be injecting ads into my live streams. 3. Listen on Spotify (link in the description). Please note that I was limited to a max duration of 90 minutes per track there, so you will need to loop it. 4. Listen on Rumble (link in the description). I've never had anyone report getting an interrupting ad there. I apologize for the inconvenience and wish there were more I could do. Apparently accounts and videos that say “no ads” KZread’s still adding ads to. Probably their way of trying to push people to buy their subscription but I refuse!! If I have to eventually go record the rain outside in my phone and then play that every nights then I will LOL but like she said. Yes.. thank you for no ads. Although I never mind a few ads in the beginning or very end. It’s the middle that wakes my sleeping child I worry about lol 😅

I actually have a support ticket open with KZread right now about all of this, and - fingers crossed - they said they might have figured out why it's happening! No word on the root cause or when it will be fixed, but I couldn't even get them to admit it was happening at first! Anyway, yes, there are always options and alternatives to help us get the rest we need.

I love the no ads !!! Other videos like this WITH ads can be annoying since I play them on a projector, and as a light sleeper, the immediate bright light or the music / talking almost always wakes me up. I stay sleeping through this and the sound is just MUAH beautiful ❤ thank you ! 🎉

I have always loved the hiss of rain on a tin roof. I was cleaning a giant factory shed out when a massive storm came through, it rained/hailed so hard it was physically painful to hear, and standing nose to nose it was almost impossible to speak/hear, just a touch loud.

i smoke marijuana a lot because of my ibs (in pain almost everyday) and don’t dream because marijuana apparently suppresses dreams or something idk anyway i have been playing this lately and have had the most vivid dreams ? is there and explanation for that? maybe because i’m so calmed down from this sound because my other video i used a lot for the nights got ads suddenly.

Hmm, your guess is as good as mine. 🤔 We do still "hear" things while we sleep, so any audio you play overnight could potentially make its way into your unconscious mind and cause/affect dreams. I haven't studied the subject all that extensively, though, so I couldn't say - and with the added variable of the substances you're using for relief, that's way above my paygrade! 😂 I should let you know that I do have ads disabled, but sometimes people still get them like halfway through the video and it startles them awake. There's nothing I can do about it. I've reported it to KZread and they've told me they're going to roll out a fix this week, but you never know. If you DO get an ad, please know I did not put it there. If you check the video description, you'll see that I offer alternative ways to access this audio, so you can always try one of those if it comes to that.

Ugh. That does pretty much defeat the purpose. Unfortunately, KZread is 100% not going to listen to me if I ask them to do anything about that - a lot of the platforms have something similar built in these days, especially if you're watching on a smart TV like a Roku.

I'm sorry that happened to your daughter. This happens to a very small number of viewers, and it's a KZread-wide issue. It frustrates me to no end, but I have no control over it. I have a pinned comment with more information about it, which you may have missed. The latest information I have about the problem is that every time someone experiences a mid-roll ad and comments about it, I send that comment to KZread Partner Support. I have had to send so many, they actually asked me to stop. I asked them yesterday morning for an update on the progress of their investigation and they said they don't have any news yet. So, I guess we all get to wait around and keep hoping we won't get mid-roll ads on videos where mid-roll ads have been explicitly disabled (like this one). May I recommend that you try one of the alternatives I list in the video's description? No one has ever reported an ad on the Rumble version, and the KZread live stream version is very popular right now as well (I have to assume it's because no one gets ads during it).
