I suffer from Misophonia (mee-sof-on-ia) It is a condition where certain sounds will trigger an extreme emotional response from the brain. For example, if I hear someone heavily breathing, this triggers my misophonia and I go into an extreme rage for a few seconds (kind of like a "kill mode" kind of rage) It can also cause anxiety, and can make me burst into tears. This video helps with my misophonia and blocks out the noise. Thank you for uploading it. And if you're watching this to go to sleep (like I also do), then get off the comment section already!

How can you not love rain? The sound so calming, the majestic concept of water falling from the sky hundreds, no thousands, millions of drops in sync falling to the ground. Giving each individual object a new look, refreshing nature itself, creating a vacuum to drown out all other noise. It allows full perception, the depths of the mind and body can be explored, the natural yet simple effect really just makes me feel alive.

This reminds me of one of my favorite memories of our little family. I was sitting on the front porch steps with my 1-year-old daughter in a gentle summer rain when my husband came home from work. He walked up & asked "Can't she get sick from being out here in the rain?". I just smiled & said "No; she doesn't get sick after a bath does she?". He smiled & sat down next to me & we just sat together enjoying the warm, gentle summer rain for a while. He's such a good daddy.

My favorite part is when it's raining.

people it does not matter if it's rain or waterfalls or beach wave sounds it's nature and when you listen to nature you become less stressed not thinking too much and can't sleep so that's the secret. we have busy stressful days at work and when you get back to nature we loose our tension. my self as a brick layer when it rains I have day off when it rains and I go shopping and buy more tools for my workshop and I love it as it's hot in summer so I appreciate the rain. peace

Who else LOVES rain?

What would be great is if you could include the buildup before the storm, followed at the end of the storm by the lull with the trickling of the rain at the end. I used to live in South Florida, and I'd always wondered what that metallic sound was at the end of a shower or storm. It was the metal gutter as the rain trickled down through the gutter off the roof of the houses. Now that would make some interesting audios. (It's much more realistic, too.)

Light rain at night gives me a real feeling of sleep and relaxation

as a person dealing with depression i admit i never sleep. Im always up crying or overthinking things. But this week i've been listening to this for atleast an hour at a time and i am finally able to sleep peacefully again.

I love the sound of rain

This worked like a charm last night. Lets try it again tonight. I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep until I woke up this morning, it was already day light. I slept hard. I actually got about 5 hours of sleep!!! Usually only 2. It was a great day.

That has to be the most soothing and relaxing sound that the good Lord has blessed us with.

So many of these sound manufactured. It subtle, but it's enough to pull me away from the recording and defeats the purpose... at least for me. If this is manufactured it's super well done! It sounds like a real recording. I've had the pleasure of enjoying many days sitting on a front porch during a thunderstorm like this one. And this video takes me back to that wonderful time. I am a rain lover. The thunder and rain are many of the majestic things about nature. Best part is that every aspect of nature calms you down, as if its you hugging your mother. It rains only once a year in my country so I never get to live the beautiful sounds. Thank you for this video. The only thing lacking is the smell of the rain. I was crying a while ago because the person I love wouldn't value me and left. This just calmed me down. I listen to this at work too. Rain is a blessing that most of us don't appreciate.
