SIR Nigel Gresleys LNER A4 Class Loco 60007 was in charge of todays tour from Crewe to Carlisle over Shap and returning via the Settle to Carlisle line later. The streak was carrying The Stephenson Jubilee 65th Anniversary headboard, lucky the train ran at all after torrentiall rain all day yesterday and was one of the first to make it north to Carlisle with widespread cancelations today. First seen at Milnthorpe on a cool and blustery morning, later on the return at Settle Junction, leaving Long Preston, and Departing Hellifield .

Spot on Steve, surprised you only got the one shot in the morning or did you get caught out with the early departure from Grayrigg 🤔 with the two stops at the bottom end of the S&C they certainly worked to your advantage, cheers👍

Leave the diesel in a lonely forgotten siding. Sir Nigel is sullied by its presence.

Is my impression correct that British 3-cylinder power usually runs with the blower on nearly full-blast? I have noticed this too on Tornado. Why is that?
