As a Bengali we make our own Janta Meal of Maida Puri and Aloo ki sabji at home but sometimes and at special occasions not daily and also we stay in Prayagraj so we prefer all types of food.

Shalimar is a very small terminal station, waha sare south and Mumbai bound trains ko terminate karte hai instead of Howrah, Pehle station ko modern and bada karna tha and fir trains ko divert karna tha, passengers ko pareshani hoti hai

Sathya, I got the opportunity to travel in Coromandel Express on its inagural run from Howrah to Chennai (then Madras Central). I think it was some times between 1977-78. Can't remember the exact date. But Bhai sahab, it was an incredible journey. The route was not electrified in those days. It as an Alco locomotive . Started from HWH at about 5 PM. Stops were Howrah - Bhubaneswar - Rajmundri and Vijayawada. The Corimandel reached Madras Central at 4.55 PM. Just 23 hrs and 55 minutes. Really it was an experience. I think now stoppages are more between staring station and destination. Any way, Coromandel was the king of those days. The name Coromandel is still nostalgic.
