This is quite possibly one of the best video series to come out of the pandemic. Not that the pandemic is good, but that it has produced some good.
Thank you for doing these videos! Everytime I go to Duluth this is my favorite place to go! My great grandfather was the Head Chef on the Empire Builder for the Great Northern Railway. Any more Great Northern history is very much appreciated! Stay safe.
William Crooks and Minnetonka are probably my favorite two preserved locomotives since I first visited in 2015, thank you very much for these up close videos and descriptive history. I’d love to come back up someday

Same here. Those are the only trains that remind me of what I imagined railroad at a young age.
Been there, it's really good! There are also scenic Lake Superior lakeshore train excursions along the North Shore to Two Rivers and back. Nostalgic, relaxing and entertaining. And nearby is the 100+ year old in continuous use major commercial/pleasure shipping lift bridge with 1000+' long ore boats etc over the public access canal also adjacent to a major historic restaurant/shopping area with a long lake walk for walking, running, bicycling, and horses. Duluth has lots to see and enjoy including a glorious mega mansion built in 1894 for the then cost of $895,000 by an iron ore tycoon magnet. Check the Duluth/Lake Superior web sight.
Coolest thing about this, is we get to see the inside of the cab up close, while at the museum itself, you can’t get in the cab of the crooks, or that passenger car for example. For good reason of course!
These are fantastic! Thanks for letting the world in at this challenging time; I'll be sending links and invites to everyone I can!
I would buy a used guy happily from this guy!
Thanks for posting these videos. Didn't even know this museum but love trains. I'm down in Chicago, and yes we have a railroad museum too, just love learning all about trains. Can't get enough. Just subscribed and going to binge watch these videos. Great videos and great tour guide. Be safe and healthy, thanks again
Would it ever run again?
