I think Mayer will keep improving. Play calling should notice that a play action on first down will stop teams from stuffing us on first down runs…which we do way too often.

2 for 39 in this game, good forecasting video cuz he went 5 for 75 the next week....this guy(nick) is good at breaking down film(sorry don't know last name), but great video....hey matt canada, can you please steel this play(prolly already in the playbook, but steelers haven't run anything close to this for muth(b4 injury) or heyward, would love to see darnell washington get his 2nd nfl catch, 1st big play on this call and it's really a simple assignment play, main thing as narrator mentions is the selling of the run, the steelers have 3 guys on their roster that deserve this play to be called at least once per game for each player and it's a perfect beginning of the game call, cuz it doesn't have to be set up by running the ball well for 3 quarters, which most teams in the nfl CAN'T DO, because the defenses are that good?

For the life of me I have never understood defensive ends falling for a misdirection play action. They are left unblocked. They should have one job. Go after the QB, and if it is actually a hand off, so be it.

if JMD wants jimmy to “excel” he’s gotta give him more rollouts and play action. and even if he does make those adjustments, its up to Jimmy to make those throws

Raiders need to use mayer more in the passing game. He could become a big threat for the raiders. Look at travis Kelso and.way he is used by cheifs.

2022 Raiders average per rush was 4.8 in 2023 per date 3.1, 3rd worst in the NFL. The NFL average rushing average is 121 in the GB game we did 96. Glad Mayer is improving but the O line needs a major upgrade.

See this is where good coaching comes to play.. if jimmy g could have held the ball for another second adams was open for a huge play. That’s why these young players/qb are great they would have kept the play alive for the big play. And that’s what we want to see as fans.

I like what the Raiders and McDaniels are doing with some of these rookies by letting them get out there and learn as they go. Some coaches try to have rookies learn from the bench which in my opinion is wrong and possibility wasted talented just sitting there.. You can learn in practice but it ain't the same as in a real game. Let's go Raiders!

Look i know you love Mayer and in your last video you thought he was going to be the next Gronk. but you are over selling this big time. dude has a total of 3 receptions for 41 yards and zero TD. This was the " best TE in the draft" or " the next Gronk " dude is a blocking TE. Raiders traded one of the best TE in the entire NFL for a 3rd round pick and drafted a blocking TE. here is another rookie TE. 25 catchs, 289 yards 3 TD.

would love to ask tha narrator why cooper(or the raiders) run this play out this formation, by bringing cooper so close to the ball he brings his defender right into the play whereas if he is outside the numbers he is a non-factor(and who ends up making the stop on this play, is 36 who is responsible for cooper), do you run this play out of that formation because you can play action out of it later and cooper might run right past 36 because once the ball is snapped(but that is the main reason why i like cfb better than the nfl, bcuz to me a non expert there are so many wasted plays to hopefully set up something big LATER, i hate that kind of football), 36's head goes right to the ball and he totally gives up any responsiblity for cooper, also it seems like you could fake the handoff and simply pitch it to cooper as there is no way in this allignment the packers edge is going to be able to catch cooper and the raiders have 17(receiver downfield blocking against the corner)....it amazes me how many times at the college and pro level, offenses expect 5/6/7 hats to block 6/7/8 defenders and on this play the raiders center and left guard end up blocking the same guy and cooper is not responsible to block anyone which forces 5 raiders to block 7 packers????
