As an Aussie, but more importantly a supporter of cricket, I felt it was our honour and our privilege to have Rahul Dravid speak at the Sir Don Bradman Oration. His thoughtfulness and respect for the history and indeed the future of this great game is something the majority of Cricket Boards around the world should take heed of. He encapsulates everything that is right about this game. Good luck in the future Rahul.

Rahul, the one thing I like about you is your preparedness to a situation. Whether it is batting in a difficult pitch, playing in foreign condition; you are always 100% prepared. You always are ready for every possible obstacles. As they say, "Optimism is not about expecting good things in life, it is expecting the worst and getting ready for it." You were more than prepared for every match you played and you were more than prepared for the amazing speech you delivered. Thank you for being an inspiration to me. :)

Gentleman living legend

Rahul Dravid truely is why we call cricket a gentelman's game, he plays it as a gentleman on and off the pitch and how many modern cricketers can we say that for. A genuine ambassador of the great sport of Cricket. He is one cricketer who will always have mutuall repect of fans from every cricket playing nation.

What a way to stand up for the GAME . I cannot imagine a better person from the Indian team to come and stand up for the game. Cheers jammy you have made Kannadigas and Indians proud.

Dravid is also an avid reader. I remember Sanjay Manjrekar telling that Dravid used to read some really deep and informative Historical books in the dressing room.

As a big fan of Rahul Dravid,As i heard him speake for about half an hour or so.,I only say that his character is reflected in his batting style and in his CLASSIC speech.I used the word classic because that is what defines Dravids batting.I know that many people would have been bored by hearing to such a long speech but that is what Dravid is,its the way he bats and that is the way he speaks...After a very long time i have heard to such a wonderfull speech.Thaks Rahul Dravid

There was a time whn I thought tht Rahul was behind Dada's eviction, n tht led to me starting to hate him a bit. Bt thanks tht Dada came out clear on this issue, n said tht at tht time it was all abt Chappel, n during his time the coach was the dictator......I was a big fan of Dravid evn whn he was nt pickedi n ODI for his batting style, bt I knew he had it in him to succeed in all formats!! I feel lucky to b born in an era whr I could c dravid,sachin, ganguly,sehwag,kumble n zaheer play live :D
