@@TheGremlin012 he is Rahul Dravid lol come on… 13,288 test runs didn’t happen by accident. His average was 58.75 after his first 100 test matches. I honestly think peak Dravid would have been fine. I’m not saying Bumrah or Shammi wouldn’t have got him out on their day as they ate great bowlers as well. I may have joked around by saying he will still make 200 now but peak dravid was the greatest batsmen in the world.

@@Pitashri101 He should be "himself". No copying anyone. Classic example is Jasprit Bumrah. He has unique bowling action & not following anyones action . Also he is the BEST in the game. Let Dravid Jr be himself instead of following anyone & creating confusion for himself which may have negative impact on his current performance. I personally feel he will be more successful the more naturally he plays.

That is why every sports has mentors and coaches, further as for the sighted example of Jasprit Bumrah we should not discount his conversations with Lasith Malinga, Zaheer Khan etc. Sheer talant doesn't cover every aspect of sports.

Benefit of being bowlers is that people don't compare them with their father's who are world class batsmans.

He looks decent for his level right now; but you never know, these days. The technology, commercialization of the game in India, the spread of wealth have all levelled the field quite a bit and there is plenty of talent to go around in the country. I saw four different coaching camps in Bangalore recently and everyone of them had a couple of good talent who were in their teens and these are not even the top coaching schools in Bangalore; run by former Ranji players. There is plenty of cricket these days, and almost all of top class cricket is constantly shown on the TV and motivated youngsters watch those and learn, in addition to hard work, and access to good coaches. Good luck to Dravid Jr, but you never know!

You are absolutely right, even at our club, there are some players who ate capable of playing at higher club but do not get the access. Samit is good, but he needs to make the upcoming season count to get 1 level higher and make a mark in Maharaja t20 so that he gets in Karnataka state team there after and probably IPL auctions

Even if he bats 70% of his dad's ability and bowls like he already does. He would be an India prospect for a #6 all rounder.

its not free flwoing bowling action and ball does not pitch in good length, its all bouncers and short pitch.. i am pretty sure he will smashed out..
