Played this at Gridcon this past weekend. REALLY enjoyed it, and liked pretty much every change that was made over the original. Remembering to add exhaustion cards when ploughing was the only thing we consistently had to remind each other to do.

I like the integration of helping farmers by plowing their land via cows, they pay you what they can and let you pass through, and then form a business with you in the future.Also, definitely putting my objectives cards there from now on

My game group and I love GWT and have played 30-40 times, really loving the new wrinkles in GWT: Argentina. Would like to know if the Rails to the North 2nd edition will come out before though!!

Hands down my favorite Rahdo review ever for the simple fact that 5 seconds in an Evita reference is made. 😂

Little correction: in original GWT you can also chose to start the game on any of the basic buildings

hehe i just checked, and if you listen closely i said "like regular GWT". i guess maybe on your speakers it sounded sort of "unlike regular GWT" :)

I really prefer when he plays with his wife Jen as the 2nd player. That way we have a better understanding of how the game is actually played.

yes, you do know actually. playing against pedro is no different than playing against jen. i make the same decisions, have to face the same obstacles, follow the same rules, etc. please see faq.rahdo.com #21 for more details :)

There is very little interaction between players, so you do see what a player does

This game just looks too busy and too fiddly for me. And it looks like a total table hog.
