Before 16-year-old drill rapper Rah Gz would die as a result of a shooting in the back of an Uber, he was born Ramon Gil-Medrano on September 7th, 2004 in the Bronx to a family of Puerto Rican descent. But growing up in one of the most dangerous boroughs of New York City led to Rah forming links with the local street gang known as the 800 YGz and this association would get him into a lot of hot water with police, including three arrests over the span of 90 days prior to his tragic passing. More than just that, he also found himself in difficult situations including in July of 2020 when he was shot for the first time at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Oakland Place in Crotona. This attack would prove to be eerily similar to the one that would eventually claim his life and left him in critical condition.

rest in peace to him.. but idk why the family acts like he was so innocent, ain’t no possible way they didn’t know he was apart of a gang, A DANGEROUS ONE. he was dissing dead people and was next to the person who shot and killed a 13 year old at the deli and laughed at him saying they “smoking him” and then got shot not to long after.. they should’ve kept him out of the streets or away from the new york. once you get into that stuff sometimes ya life will be the price.

I mean, your right a lot of the blame is on him for pursuing the gang life, but you don’t see people who actually had shit during their lives going down paths like this as often do you? That’s the type of thing that happens when you come from a background of not having much during your life/losing people close to you.
