I was down the front for this. 15 years old, first festival. The day ticket cost £16 if I recall. Nearly fucking died in the pit. Great times

Unless you found a deal, it was €33 per day or €80 for the weekend plus booking fee... I had an amazing weekend there. Saw an early QOTSA in a tent.

absolutly spot on!,the MC5 are in the top 5 most influential!!,,1968 kotj!!,,,yes,there was zep and hendrix,sabbath and so on,but they didnt have the dirty raw just blasting live energy,,for rage to have wayne kramer on there stage axe in hand is special...great comment pal

Back when Reading was a proper festival with proper music, I was there for this no one lights it up like RATM. 2020 RATM will rise again show these fake mumbling talentless acts how you knock it out the park.

They did this proud. If you haven't seen it, check out footage of mc5 at Detroit, 1971 doing this for the first time. The audience didn't know what hit them.

These guys really missed an opportunity by not opening up with Kick Out The Jams at Woodstock 99. On the other hand maybe they weren't playing it yet, or maybe it would have made the rioting that much worse.

i was at leeds the same weekend,and when they flew into this my head fell off!!,see,im a mod and was surrounded by non MC5 rockers!!,so me parka and a wellend hair doo had to tell the bemused 'its the fuckin MC5!!!',,,,i was a bit of tool tbh,but fuck it!!
