Raag tilak kamod, malkouns, jaunpuri and asawari are my favorite and to listen these gives me a reminder that learning Indian Classical Music was till date the best decision of my life

Needless to say that good classical music transcends beyond language & boundaries.

amazing ! it reminds me my childhood early mornings where my dad used to practice this & my morning used to start & whole day used to be fresh.& now when am young i realised what is inner peace . really proud to see all foreigners also enjoying this .

Mayne they disliked it because it doesn't embody the raga like feeling at all. The music and the singing both are like western concert. Everything was disjointed

Joy is depends upon the just listeners and the knowing keen base of pure classical, if some just listeners like this, can you imagine who knows much more in pure classical ? Namaste,

@Vaibhav Doshi : you are correct. Arohan - shuddh Ni; and Avrohan - komal ni. In our composition and alap we only touch komal ni briefly. However, that is the Khamaj nature of the raga.

Whole antara is: Eiso chanchal chapal hat nat khat maanat, Na kahu ki baat Vinati karat mein gayi re haar ab "Neer bharan kaise jaoon"

Thank you for your comment. By 'pedestrian' do you mean not sparkling with virtuosity? I agree - it is supposed to be a basic, introductory level rendition of the Tilak Kamod. Most of my students had no exposure to Indian classical music prior to this class.

This was like listening to western concert. Instrumentalists and vocalists couldn't sing it like Indian raga
