Lyrics
When I heard that sound
When the walls came down
I was thinking about you
About you
When my skin grows old
When my breath runs cold
I'll be thinking about you
About you
Seconds from my heart
A bullet from the dark
Helpless, I surrender
Shackled by your love
Holding me like this
With poison on your lips
Only when it's over
The silence hits so hard
'Cause it was almost love, it was almost love
It was almost love, it was almost love
When I heard that sound
When the walls came down
I was thinking about you
About you
When my skin grows old
When my breath runs cold
I'll be thinking about you
About you
When I run out of air to breathe
It's your ghost I see
I'll be thinking about you, about you
It was almost love, it was almost...
We bleed ourselves in vain
How tragic is this game?
Turn around, I'm holding on to someone
But the love is gone
Carrying the load, with wings that feel like stone
Knowing that we nearly fell so far now
It's hard to tell
Yeah we came so close, it was almost love
It was almost love, it was almost love
When I heard that sound
When the walls came down
I was thinking about you
About you
When my skin grows old
When my breath runs cold
I'll be thinking about you
About you
When I run out of air to breathe
It's your ghost I see
I'll be thinking about you, about you
While I reached out for your hand
When the walls were caving in
When I see you on the other side
We can try all over again
When I heard that sound
When the walls came down
I was thinking about you
About you
When my skin grows old
When my breath runs cold
I'll be thinking about you
About you
When I run out of air to breathe
It's your ghost I see
I'll be thinking about you, about you
'Cause it was almost love, it was almost love
It was almost love, it was almost love

First song by him I heard was Human. I fell in love the first time.
I'm 71 and whenever my old ass friends say that they don't make good music anymore this is one of the many young artists I direct them to. The music is out there you just have the ears to hear it. There's a scripture in the book of Ephesians that says "Let him who has the ears to hear what the Spirit has to say to the congregation."

This song make you want to stand up for yourself, like you are just so depressed,so tired,so hopeless, but when this song plays is like someone telling to stand up,Just stay calm, don't drown in a non-existent glass of water, the powerful beat, the articulated lyrics, and his voice, make me think of my childhood, the cringey moments, but also those good moments, those feelings i maybe never feel, And say "i know you can't take it anymore, you are sick of everything and everyone, but don't fall,Because I WILL ROOT FOR YOU,every little step, you CAN FUCKIN' DO IT,you WILL FUCKIN' DO IT" the meaning could be something even deeper than this, but i don't care, this song, like Human and other is a masterpiece

Hi Rag’n’Bone man, I’m your fan, recently became. So, is it a british boy or chuvash/tatar starring in this clip? Sincerely.
Masterpiece. His voice is amazing, it touches the soul and heart. The songs capture the pain of a human being.
Can we all just appreciate the fact the first 45 seconds were recorded live 💙❤️

Just incredible. Brings tears to my eyes
My favorite part of this song is the Acapella beginning. 🥰
00:08 When I heard that sound When the walls came down I 00:17 was thinking about you About you When my skin 00:24 grows old When my breath runs cold I'll be thinking 00:33 about you About you 00:51 Seconds from my heart A 00:54 bullet from the dark Helpless, I surrender 00:59 Shackled by your love Holding me like this With 01:05 poison on your lips Only when it's over The silence 01:11 hits so hard 'Cause it was almost love, it was almost 01:17 love It was almost love, it was almost love When I 01:26 heard that sound When the walls came down I was 01:31 thinking about you About you When my skin grows old 01:39 When my breath runs cold I'll be thinking about you 01:45 About you When I run out of air to breathe It's 01:51 your ghost I see I'll be thinking about you, about 01:57 you It was almost love, it was almost... 02:04 We bleed ourselves in vain How tragic is this game? 02:10 Turn around, I'm holding on to someone But the love 02:14 is gone Carrying the load, with wings that feel like 02:19 stone Knowing that we nearly fell so far now 02:25 It's hard to tell Yeah we came so close, it was 02:30 almost love It was almost love, it was almost love 02:39 When I heard that sound When the walls came down I 02:44 was thinking about you About you When my skin 02:51 grows old When my breath runs cold I'll be thinking 02:56 about you About you When I run out of air to breathe 03:04 It's your ghost I see I'll be thinking about you, 03:10 about you I reached out for your hand When the 03:20 walls were caving in But I see you on the other side 03:29 We can try all over again When I heard that sound 03:38 When the walls came down I was thinking about you 03:43 About you When my skin grows old When my breath 03:50 runs cold I'll be thinking about you About you When I 03:58 run out of air to breathe It's your ghost I see I'll 04:03 be thinking about you, about you 'Cause it was 04:09 almost love, it was almost love It was almost love, 04:17 it was almost love

@@just-some-guy6487 Hello, sadly, I suppose, I was just sitting here and I realized something, there's a part of me that will actually miss 2020. Now, I know that sounds crazy, but only because there's a simple naive part of my human condition that actually believes this will all end at the magnificent stroke of midnight on Thursday, Dec 31st. Will we go into 2021 thinking to ourselves as things die down, "what happened, did we really lose it over such frivolous stuff, or was it serious and we lost ourselves over our own worst enemy, ourselves?" Someone had recently asked me when I thought we would stop wearing a mask in public next year, and my response was, "We'll stop wearing a mask when we stop taking off our shoes at TSA at the airport" ;-) In truth and reality, which we all deserve by the grace of God, the spirit of the age of 2020 will rule 2021, but its name won't be pandemic, its name will be war, much blood, in all its savagely beautiful gloriousness. Dues Vult...
