Thanks for the gameplay run-through, it's super helpful - love all your videos. I backed this at the super deluxe level because the game is gorgeous and now I can't wait to play it.... soon. It would have been great to use ice cubes as the "suitable replacement" since the cards are plastic. :P

Glad you enjoyed! No plans to do a top 100 video. Not something I'd be any good at doing - I find games are very situational. What's perfect for one setting would be terrible for another. I wouldn't be any good at separating myself from that enough to make a list.

Hey Rodney! Super excited for this game to arrive. I was wondering if you knew if you were allowed to junk a card to No effect? Like for example junking a card that would give you a punk when you have 6 people already. I don’t know if there would be any utility in it because I don’t know if there are any game effect that get better the fewer cards you have but if you knew the answer that would be great!

Nice video and good explanation! Thank you for that but I have a question regarding advancing events. If I play an event with the timer 0 I resolve it immediately but do I then move all other events up a timer as well?

Events aren't moved when a 0 event is played, they are moved during the Phase 1 Events step, you'll find that covered in the video if you have any questions. Have a great time playing!

It's nice to see you back on the tutorial track this week, since I notice that you uploaded a tutorial every day since Monday. I wonder if we'll see one every weekday this week. As for this tutorial, I liked the idea of trading card style combat here, but both players draw from the same deck, and you have to use the cards you dealt to your advantage here. Your opponent might get a powerful card that you couldn't, which could win them the game, or you might. Also, thinking about which 3 of 6 bases will help you in the game is also a factor to consider while doing your actions. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial.

As always, a great tutorial Rodney :) just one addendum to the video couse i could not find it in the comments section. When we played i could not figure out what to do with the punk that goes back to your hand. It becomes the proper character from the other side of the card :) confirmed by the author on BGG. Just wanted to add this if someone also had a moment of confusion with this one :)

So it arrived and does not disappoint. Many thanks again for the teach. Quick question… does the term “any card” also refer to camps? I assume yes but want to check. Eg. There is a card with the “destroy” symbol on stating “any card”. Does this really mean any card? Or does it mean any “unprotected card”. Thanks

Sorry to bother again. How is “any enemy” or an “enemy” defined? Is that both people and camps? Or only people? Seems like there are 4 definitions. People, camps, cards and enemies. The term enemy confuses me. Thanks for any help

I realized yesterday according to this video that we played it wrong. :DD In the replenish sequence we filled the water but didn't draw a card. Do a try, with this method we enjoyed the game like being a nice HARDMODE. :D Btw this game is amazing and the review too!

Hey Rodders, clarification question please 🙋‍♂️ with the raiders card you seemed to suggest that you have to pay water to advance it? Does it automatically advance along the event/bomb tracker as shown near the beginning? If not do other events move over the raider card if you choose not to advance it? Cheers and apologies if it was clear and I just wasn’t concentrating (!)

The Raiders card advances anytime the raiders symbol is resolved, unless there is a card in front of it (it can only move into an empty space). In all other ways, it is just like a regular event, and will advance at the start of your turn, with all other cards on that track.

Funny how you place it on top of Chronicles of Crime, as I just borrowed these two exact games from the library today. You should make a blooper reel at some point. I want to know how often you miss the box flip.

I do my best to answer all rules questions on the games I cover, but I avoid individual card effects, as that's a level of detail beyond what I can manage across all the videos I do. I'd suggest checking the rules forum for the game on BoardGameGeek or the publishers website - that said the wording on these cards tends to be literal, so "any camp" would typically mean ANY. I hope you can find your answer - have fun playing!

It means literally any camp. It is very OP but on the other hand , it is a one of a kind card and will be targeted hard .

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they are specifically in the deluxe version.

Do you put your 3 white water discs back to your supply at the end of your turn (clean up) or at the beginning of your next turn?

At the end of your turn. The rules (as printed) make this a little murky, but had a good chat with the publisher, and we do feel it's clearest (and creates the least confusion) if it is done at the end of your turn.

At 12:00, does the "Target any Camp" have to be any UNPROTECTED camp or can I just kill a camp I so desire?

If it says “any Camp”, that would include protected camps.

Do you mean, can you put someone in the front row, leaving an empty space in the middle row? Technically no, but it's okay, because, as you'll see in the video, when you add a new character, you can always push any already on the middle row forward, putting the new character behind it. Hope that helps!

@@David-cz7mm Sorry, the video mentions that a card that lets you destroy will specify what your target can be, so, for example, if it says “destroy any card”, that means any card at all. If it says “destroy an unprotected card”, then it has to be an unprotected card. Hope that helps!

Does the raid card only advance in the event queue if you trigger a raid action or does it move along once you resolve what is in number 1. What happens if you have the raid in two, an event in 1 and an event in 3 and you resolve the event in 1. Does the raid move forward or does the event in 3 skip to 1?

The Raid card will also advance following the normal event rules. So when the cards in the queue would advance, so does your Raid card.

I saw the Truce event isn’t listed in the rule book FAQ. It says to return all people including punks back to both players’ hands. I presume that now the returned punks can just be played as normal people, correct?

Anything that goes back to your hand can be played as normal.

thank you for the tutorial! i have two questions regarding gameplay. 1. when "destroy" hits a camp, it is flipped. does that mean it is completely destroyed, face down? 2. there's a "person card" called Sniper and it should say "damage any card", does this card ignore protection and mean that it could damage camps regardless if there are people in-front of it?

When ability text uses the word “Enemy”, it refers to your opponent’s people, not their camps.

I don't recall if I say that directly, but I think instead I mention what you "can" damage, and if I don't mention events, it means you can't :)
