    in less than 12 months ELRS has conquered the market and already started to dominate considering the amount of releases with radios incl. ELRS from the assembly line. A world is changing, the 4 in 1 modules have more or less become a legacy or reminder to migrate the whole fleet. Great to hear your voice and judgement a lot more than in last year during the move. thanks a lot of all the efforts you put into your videos.

    Got this as a Chrissy for the "poor relations" in our Old Fart's Kamikazi Club with an iRangeX IRX4 stuck in the back. It will allow us to dip into ELRS receivers as we get round to them also. Only quibble so far is the small stick ends after the TX16S. The punters will have to supply their own as desired. 😉

    Andrew: Beautiful location! Nice, quick but thorough review. I like your choices for functions to available switches. Do you think the right handed temporary button could be assigned to buddy box on/off function? I have the Tx22 MkI version, but I was wondering if it is possible/easy to add the new hand grips? Can they be ordered? Looks like this would do a lot to fumble-proof this otherwise exceptional transmitter. Thanks. - Jim

    Thanks James. Yes could easily make the right momentary button into a trainer switch. Either keep it as momentary or change to push on push off using the STKY function in a logical switch

    The grips are actually part of the back plate, they're not swappable grips like on the tx16. I don't know if the back plate is interchangeable.

    Hi Andrew, I have very basic needs in that I only have a Umx Timber Turbo and an XK X450. I have settled on these two planes and I am not going to tinker with them. A Radiomaster can control both of them. So, whilst it would be nice to get a TX16s, I'm really thinking that I should get a TX12 or a Zorro. I notice you seem to favour the Zorro. Putting price aside, which of the 3 (16, 12, Zorro) would you recommend to meet my needs? Thanks.

  • @AndrewNewton

    @AndrewNewton

    Жыл бұрын

    They would all meet and exceed your needs but TX16S is overkill, too big and heavy. Zorro feels a bit higher quality than the TX12, toss of a coin between the two really.

    A mate has the MK1 version of the TX12. It's nice and compact but with all the features, including the full size JR bay.... Doesn't iNAV have link quality and TX RF power for ELRS.? The RSSI didn't look right at all...Great overview Andrew...😀🇬🇧

    Hello, great video. I did noticed that the RSSI was quite low. Around 30% is in the upper -90s dBm (depending on the update rate). Too low for that distance and conditions. Do you know which rate and power you were using? Looks like 10mW

  • @AndrewNewton

    @AndrewNewton

  • @Onefgear

    @@AndrewNewton When using Crossfire/ELRS with INAV, regular RSSI shows signal power in %. It's a curve ranging from -30dbm (100%) to -120dBm (0%). For Crossfire/ELRS you can select LQ and RSSI power in dBm from the OSD screen. LQ shows if there is "packet loss".

    Andrew nice flight, awesome scenery, where are you flying at? That would be a free divers dream area there in the water!!! I ended up pulling the trigger on this little radio, how can you say no for the price and the type of radio you are getting, i am sure they will sell out on these pretty fast, only thing i wish Radio Master would do with the TX12 MK2 radio is offer factory up grades (customize) with the higher end gimbals and face plate, ect like they do with the big brother TX16s mark 2 max, that would be awesome, maybe you could give them a bug in there ear about doing that! A great first look at the RadioMaster Tx12 MkII. Seems RadioMaster has a good offering for almost any pilot need, or preference. Appreciated you detailed how you set up your Tx12 MkII (8:20). Intriguing use of slider to control OSD display options. Also found it interesting you referred to this as your INAV radio. Guessing the Zorro is setup as your current soaring radio of choice? This might make for a topic for a future video ... How you use and have setup each the Tx16, Tx12, and Zorro. More focused the key commonalities in setup, or differences and points where each has a feature shines out. BTW: surprised RadioMaster doesn't yet offer an ELRS receiver with a integrated vario. Such an offering would get eyes from the DLG community of flyers. (micro weight receivers with vario)
