Yes weirdly! The studio version sounds less produced. This version has such beautiful drenched reverb on the synth. The studio version lacks that and also seems to have an overly low attack for some reason. Too rigid.

Just have to throw this out there, I love when artists (in particular, Radiohead) write songs unconventionally that aren't the usual verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus. Radiohead is flawless

The backing vocals make this version, but I prefer the outro solo of the studio. Jonny just nails it.

I like the ghostly backing vocals in the studio much more, also the solo. But the synth tone and key in this one it's awesome.

After all these years, Radiohead still got it. They are absolutely brilliant. Always presenting beautiful and unforgetabble stuff. This band is a landmark in modern music.

This is my favorite version.

Identikit as we currently know it is likely to sound completely different in its final version. If I'd only heard the live version of TKoL I'd never have guessed it would sound like it does on the album, not to mention that this might be an early version and there'll be some slight changes to the final version, so if you're not entirely satisfied with its sound, don't think this is what you'll get as final result.

this song feels like it is thirty seconds because I enjoy every second of it and get lost in the track of time.

Definitely prefer this version, but Jonny's solo at the end of the studio version kills

Also, the transition from the first verse to the middle part is better in the studio version. Here it is... Not existing. Also, I like the "lalala" in the studio version.

Whenever they release their next album, I hope they keep this sound. Like a cross between TKOL and it's beautiful atmosphere and beats, mixed with In Rainbows fantastic rhythm and guitar.

I only wish that they kept that powerful synth in this version in the studio version. It just seems a little weak on the album. Other than that, I dig the studio version.

Cruz Avila I was listening to the studio version. The synth riff is still there. It just occurs under the choir. But its totally there.

I think ive played this song about 50times since its been on KZread lol!! The groove and the hook is so catchy. Cannot wait for there next album i have a feeling this will be on it and the studio version will be epic!!!

This song is amazing. Radiohead is the only artist I've listened to for over ten years whose new material matches the brilliance of their earlier work.

This version is better than the studio version by far...

Radiohead surprises me with EVERY album, no matter how hard I try to predict what it will sound like. This song came out of fucking nowhere, it's like hearing There There for the first time. Beaut.

I still keep coming back to listen to this version. It's a billion times better than the over produced bad taste studio version.

Agreed. Nigel's production has sapped the life out of the past two Radiohead albums. That's why everyone loves King of Limbs live more. For some reason the recent work by Nigel has been obsessed with making a band that sounds like they aren't even in the same room. The Wall Of Eyes sounds so organic and lush, the most warm sounding stuff Thom has worked on since In Rainbows.

Thanks so much for the download link. Radiohead makes music so much more potent than anybody else out there.

This has easily become already one of my top favorites from Radiohead! I really hope they don't wait 4 years again to release an album. Of course it will be worth it but I can't wait that long!!

strange how they went from this discordant Fm to Bm... in the live version.... then sweetened it up for the studio recording and started in F#, to B#. pity!!!! loved the oddball key change of the original. nobody does tri-tone key changes anymore!
