Im only 20 minutes in and ive already seen an interview I've never seen and that performance of Creep (where the drums didn't play on the first verse) was new to me as well! I wonder if it got all fucked up or something because they used the Live at the Astoria version for the last part. Very well edited too. Superfan trivia note: DIDJA KNOW that Radiohead were the FIRST EVER musical guest on late night with Conan O'brien? Yep that's right. I went to the museum of television and radio to see it (it's prob on youtube now) They play creep and their medallions and necklaces play a supporting role

This is perhaps the best band & artist profiles I’ve ever seen. Thank you. It’s also left me deeply impressed with Thom Yorke in a way I’ve not been for a long time. I welled up at the interview after the OK Computer tour, when he said he couldn’t listen to it anymore. The slightly closed left eye was a warning for those who’ve seen it before (for example, in the mirror) of deep distress. Was no one looking out for the person behind the mask? Would he let anyone in, anyway? I had no idea about his family life. Just tragic. How do you come back from that? One things for sure, it’s incredibly painful for ones children, as adults, to realise one day that mum & dad are just like they are. When my oldest daughter found me, broken, on the floor of my grandson’s first bedroom, she knew. I had lost all hope & was useless. I’ve come back from it, and it looks like Thom has, too. I hope so. Some people aren’t given to be happy, ever. Or, almost never. That’s just the way some of us are built. And difficult work isn’t necessarily intended to yield happiness, but other emotions. I trust Mr Yorke & his very long term band mates occasionally allow themselves to look back over their shoulders & realise what they’ve done & how important their corpus of music is to so many others around the world.

Also, that NME Japan moment was gut wrenching. As someone who struggles, I felt his desperation. Even a seemingly easy task seems overwhelming, and when you’re perfectionistic on top of that, it’s a recipe for self hatred and rage. It takes a lot to combat that. He’s come such a long way. Thank you again for making this! Beautiful.

I knew Thom Yorke was depressed before kid a, but to see the extent of his depression really shocked me, making me appreciate kid a even more! It explains a lot of the lyricism and moods.

Whenever my son starts to do something that he thinks is a good idea i always tell him, "remember son, Radiohead thought recording Creep was a good idea." And then he says to me, "its a 90s rock anthem you ignorant fool." He's a good son.

Holy shit, this is unbelievably well put together. The editing is insane and the clip and music choices are stellar. I still can’t believe I cried at the end of this. Tf is wrong with me. You did it in a way that made it all feel really personal and for that I think this is one of the best videos on Radiohead out there.

Thank you! As a massive fan for 30 years, no other music affects me with such powerful feelings as Radiohead. It’s so weird hearing people say songs like “No Surprises” is as one example said, “music to cut your wrists to”. It’s a beautiful song, are they not paying attention to the arrangements? Their music affects the cells in my body. Seriously I just feel so much joy listening to them and I made it my mission I would tell the band how much better they make my life, which had been very hard. It finally happened on their tour for Kid A and Amnesiac. 20,000 people in a field in Ontario Canada then called Molson Park. I was with my best friend and husband. After the show instead of sitting in traffic we decided to go to the front. It was there I was hit in the head with a guitar pic and we all took it as a sign. I won’t drag on because the point is, my DREAM came true. Anyone with any questions I’d be happy to answer. My husband didn’t make it into the tent, he helped make a scene someone took his pass and my friend and I sat away from everyone shocked. There were no celebrities. As the band poured in we got closer, and these gods in my eyes were so shy, and normal. No ego at all! Then Thom came in and I made my move as he was by himself. I heard he was moody, all the shit I’d read. A guy in front of me talked about lighting, and Thom thanked him and then it was me and I just let it rip. That I was there for a reason, for him to tell him and his band mates how much they improved my life and loved the new music and he gave this HUGE smile and said it was so nice to hear as the press had been really hard on them and we just started talking about the craziest things, he asked me so many questions (I had a splint on) and had a life changing car accident and I told him some just odd things I couldn’t explain, like how I was standing there and I had a psychologist give me past life regression to help my ptsd (yeah, I know) and Thom just was like “oh that’s so dangerous never do it again” but the strange thing was I got home turned on the Canadian Much Music debuting Pyramid song and it was so close to my progression I called my husband at work because I was even more committed there was some crazy connection. So then Thom says “Ok I’m going to tell you something and you’re going to think I’m nuts” and I was like “hello? What did I just tell you lol” and he told me how he wrote pyramid song and not many people knew. And it’s only been in the last few years he I guess has the confidence to tell it in interviews but it’s still a bit different. My friend and I had nothing. My husband had my purse, camera phones weren’t invented and a line up started behind us. I had nothing for him to sign but my sling which was plastic but he really made an effort to sign (it rubbed off) my friend got her ticket stuck signed. It was one of the best nights of my life. They say don’t meet your hero’s but damn, it couldn’t have been better! It all took place in a big white tent like they use for weddings. Security led us out and a group who hadn’t made it and my husband were there and they were all so excited for us. And this work of art shows how much you love the band. Thank you for finding footage I’ve never seen. I think they’d love this. The dumbest thing I did was email another friend every detail but I lost my copy. But I remember a LOT lol. I’ve been blessed to see them many times and the ticket situation is so fucked now but if you really love them, try to see them. They didn’t play here for 12 years because our province totally fucked over the investigation into the death of Scott Johnson the drum tech killed in a stage construction accident. Hope I didn’t bore you. ❤

@@Mark-rg5ci Hi Mark, I only had it done once and it was so long ago I’m not even sure which reason we were doing it for. I was seeing my psychologist for PTSD after a really bad accident on the highway left me incredibly jumpy, insomnia, nightmares, flashbacks (which is not like the movies projected them as. I told so many doctors I didn’t have flashbacks because of that. Flashbacks are just any physical or mental feeling I felt again after the accident. My therapist psychologist was also very much into spirituality, as was I. It didn’t help me with any of my symptoms. The only thing I can’t explain is why so many things I visualized were in the video for Pyramid song including going up into the clouds and seeing a table of my loved ones tell me “there was nothing to fear or doubt” and my spirit being a light in the sky. But I also went through different scenarios that made no sense then or to me now. I also was depressed and it made no difference there either. Sorry this is so long but I’m trying to touch on any reason you might be considering it. I also was fully aware I was still in her office. I just repeated what I saw or felt. I’d recommend doing as much research as possible with scientific peer reviewed evidence. I don’t think I’d do it again as the brain is so incredibly complicated. I’d also been seeing her weekly for over a year so I trusted her. Some people are more suggestive than others (I’d never get hypnotized as I’d seen many as it was popular and even our high school brought one in for fun and I’d seen more “adult” ones when I was older. They use the same techniques to relax you in past life regression. One thing that did help me was a pressure point activity called EFT. There are instructions and you can find instructions and pictures online. Mine included certain fingers as well and I’d recommend that. It helped me with anxiety and depression plus I had extreme anger towards the transport truck driver and it was gone in the few minutes. It sounds ridiculous but it helped so much more than just talking about it.

Watching this, I now fully understand why Radiohead departed from their rock roots after the Bends, which was one of my all time favorite albums. Hearing Thom say he hated rock and thought of it as an absolute waste of time cut me deep. Hearing how he's come full circle and to terms with how he was back when they exploded into fame, being open and eloquent about things in contrast to how clammed-up he was in his youth, it gives me hope that he picks up rock again even if its for nostalgia. No one makes a rock album like Radiohead and what the world needs right now in this age of artifice and shallow music is a great rock album that only Radiohead can make.

Wow I thought I had seen just about everything about Radiohead but that was so good, all the band members are very private about their personal lives and to hear Thom Yorke talk about his partners and kids really was special, can't thank you enough for making this

Radiohead is the most important musical experiment of my lifetime (born in '79). Never stale, always challenging, ever-evolving. I was a fan the minute I heard The Bends and I've loved every album thereafter, all for different reasons. I also find it impossible to compare, say, OK Computer to In Rainbows or Airbag (How Am I Driving) to Kid A. Completely unique at every turn. Truly one of the greats.

It somehow feels like every moment of their career lead to that "In Rainbows live in the Basement" concert. The album is like a summary of the all the emotions of their career. In that live performance, you can feel the relief of years of trying hard and finally getting to accept and appreciate it. The release payment model (which was so influential it is now the norm for many artists) also feels like acceptance : "we like what we create so we're giving it to the world and we don't care" Being happy is not about living positive things only, it is about going through both joy and suffering and after that, accepting it for what it gave us.

i just feel so horrible for thom during okc era, he seem so exhausted when filming the nme video in japan, he tried his hardest but hes never satisfied with it even though the others reassures him and saying he did a good job, i understand how shitty it feels having to repeat doing such mentally exhausting thing and you keep failing. on 36:47 , i also start having thoughts of criticism on everything i did when my abusers came to my life,they were projecting onto me and ive come to develop into listening to what they say and never questioning or even say a word, eventually their words burnt into my mind and i ended up being its slave for almost all the years of my life, its incredibly exhausting, and i cant help but listen to it, you just cant do anything without feeling like a presence is judging your choices, action, opinion, and everything about you, when i do it everyday for survival, i completely lost who i actually am, as if i just killed myself. on a bright side, i am trying my best to heal and be less harsh on myself, im developing a more realistic and mature mindset and to learn from my mistakes, radiohead's work especially a moon shaped pool truly inspires me and also helped me get through alot of tough times, everytime i listen to the album, it feels as if ive entered a different world, a world where i feel peaceful, calm and comforted, their career as a whole is like my life experience, each album representing an era from my life, its just so special to have this band as a form of coping mechanism when your traumatic experiences can be put to rest from your mind with their beautiful music, just like with their recent work with a moon shaped pool and in my current state in life, i am achieving something that i have been grasping for my whole life; peace.

Their music connects straight to my heart. I'm lonely and heavily depressed,but the hope of seeing them live is keeping me alive

About fame and the price of fame, how so many people want fame without really knowing or understanding what it entails. About creativity and the creative process. About how these 5 individuals came together, and we all who love their music, grew up together. Except these guys did it in front of the cameras and the media. Whilst most of us got to make our mistakes without that added pressure. I know I would not have handled it well at all. This incredible music that they have dedicated their lives to, that has touched so many of us. Moved so many of us. I am full of good feelings and love for this band. Watching this has lifted me up. Gosh I found this is an actual documentary made from Netflix or a broadcast. Can't believe that this is only made by yourself. The soundscape used during the video was very well connected and right in the moment and graphics, live performance, interviews used were just fantastic reflection of Radiohead's story and member's psychological change. This is the perfect video that portrays 'Everything in its right place'. Thank you for making this documentary.

Man I hope Thom’s doing well. I relate to his sense of anxiety and fear of the new ages were finding ourselves going through. It’s tough when you’re in that headspace. An excellent video sir, this is truly, one of the best docs I’ve ever seen on anything.

I think he is talking more about pointless drama and untimely tragedies that seem to plague some people's lives.While some invite them in and are reckless and careless, the unlucky just inherit nothing but hardship and death. i interpret the ''no alarms and no surprises'' as something negative. It seems to me that thom is sarcastic the way he is with the title of everything in each ''right'' place. A criticism of complacency

I’m pretty sure these guys are time travelers. Their music doesn’t just improve with age, it feels like some of it shouldn’t have existed at all at the time of its original recording. Some of their songs made absolutely no sense to me until years later, almost as if my brain wasn’t mature enough to handle them at the time. This is the vibe that kids rock out to in 2050. Just for fun, let’s see what the public thinks of it in 2007. The raw emotions that hit me with their music are brand new to my system. The combination of tension, anxiety, frustration, despair and grief mixed with love, eternal bliss, new beginnings, positivity and hope all intertwined. They take you on a journey that can be uncomfortable at times but so worth it in the end. You become your better self just by listening and absorbing. Wow. The power of Radiohead. Pure genius!!

I've been a fan of Radiohead since 1996. They're my favourite band of all time, period. And this is the best thing I've ever seen, heard, or read about them. Thank you for everything you put into this masterpiece. ❤

The only band that impacts music so originally since The Beatles. I take nothing away from every other musical act, there are many amazing artists, but in terms of emulating The Beatles impact, no other band has managed it than Radiohead. We all love our favourite bands but without exception, only Radiohead matched the fab four for changing music.

I think this fan-made documentary is one of the best documentaries I've seen of any band, including official releases

As a long time fan, from high school until i'm working now, seeing Thom and others transformed in this documentary really made me appreciate Radiohead as a band. From how they're happy being known for Creep, hating it, writer's block (what an oof "None of your business" interview), overcoming pressure, and finally found peace. I started listening to them at the end of in Rainbows era, and the start of King of Limbs. Being a high schooler at the time, i resonated with the Bends the most, especially Just. As time goes by, i like Ok Computer, and then Kid A, and then Hail to the thief, and it goes on. Now that i'm comfortable with my life (job and social life), i really like recreating sounds from AMSP on my guitars, especially Present Tense and Burn the Witch. "I won't turn around when the penny drops I won't stop now I won't slack off Or all this love Will be in vain" Those bit of lyrics really resonates with how i shouldn't be complacent with how i'm comfortable with how i live now. It's amazing to have found a band i could resonate with, on a personal, spiritual level, like Radiohead. Thank you for this exquisitely crafted documentary, i know you've spent so much love and dedication making this. Thank you Radiohead for creating and accompanying me throughout my life. My only bucket list is to watch your show which might never be fulfilled (Or is it? LP 10? Anyone?) THANK YOU!

Everytime I listen to Radiohead I discover something new. No other musician or band has ever done that for me, nor will ever.

Way to capture a notoriously private band. Maybe that their not so private, but truthful in the moment as they were experiencing it and it wasn’t always pretty. A long hard slog and a lot of work with art and beauty at the center of it when it worked. It’s when they found an equilibrium in it with KID A that they began to enjoy this wild exploitable ride and we wait with baited breath. Then completely owning it with In Rainbows do we begin to see the joy of a confident band , just beginning all over. Not many bands ever get to this point. And we get to enjoy the fruits of it.

I love how he set boundaries with that reporter and asserted his right to a personal life.

oh. my. god. This was such an amazing watch. I’ve recently started listening to Radiohead, and this video has been popping up a bit before I started. Usually I have such a short attention span for long form videos but the visual story telling here is insane. The editing, pacing, the way you incorporated the music into everything made this such an entertaining watch. I was playing Creep one day and my mom sang along with it. This made me check out Radiohead's discography and my love for Thom Yorke started there. You've hit the algorithm. This is one heck of a recommendation. I wished I lived through the 90's and witnessed the peak of rock music.

Wonderful video. I would consider myself a Radiohead fan, but they are by no means my favourite band. I absolutely adore Kid A and In Rainbows, but they're the only two albums I revisit in full on a regular basis. That being said, I really do believe that they are probably the most important and unique band of the past 30 years. The fact that they've managed to achieve such mainstream success whilst continuing to consistently innovate their craft is remarkable. I honestly can't think of another artist that has managed to pull off such a precise balancing act. They truly are one of a kind.

This is definitely great and well done. The thing that gets me is how Radiohead is so demeaning of their earlier stuff. I know it's artistic growth, but so weird how quickly they wanted to distance themselves. I guess this did in part contribute to how they stretched and grew with each album, so maybe natural and needed :)

I especially liked how you included the "we want more" chant to segueway into the next section. And including the TV presenters "making fun" of the No Surprises clip. A reaction of the time in predystopian 1997 - but feels like what they did was equivalent to making fun of someone in a wheelchair.

I’ve fell in love with this band through the evolution. As a producer and touring musician - I can’t think of many albums that evolved in lockstep with my own tastes like Radiohead.

I don't see him as this untouchable icon while I'm watching this. I just see him as human being and get the strongest urge to give him the biggest hug. It really feels that he needs it. Someone with me on this? .... I don't know, maybe I am just emotional on Sunday, after yesterdays night party.

I added my story, it’s looong. But by some magic I was lucky to meet Thom after a Kid A/Amnesiac tour. I was expecting what I read, for him to mumble thank you and scuffle off but he was just the opposite. A personal conversation between me, him, and my best friend at the time. It was a once in a life chance, and I just blurted everything they meant to me and he just lit up. Like he was so happy just to talk to regular people about all kinds of things. Like those albums released him and the band. And if the press was confused the fans weren’t. We absorbed the beauty of those albums. He could easily see we had no passes, yet he ignored it. He was open, laughing, it could not have gone better. We had no camera but that probably made it more personal. Prior i ease dropped on some other band mates speaking with those who made fan sites like the defunct Follow Me Around and but I think Green Plastic is still around. He and his friend got to go to any show. The band are just shy, normal guys. Embarrassed by compliments. The best night of my life. I didn’t hug him, just shook his hand. But he was happy!

This is as professionally and superbly made as any doc on Radiohead I've seen. The fact that it is fan made is amazing. Well done!!

This is one of the most engaging documentaries about music I've ever seen. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I probably wouldn't have watched it if I'd realised it wasn't an official production before I hit play but I wasn't wearing my glasses so here we are. Your work has changed my attitude towards the potential in fan made material so dramatically I wouldn't know where to begin. Long story short I really, really enjoyed watching this. I am truly humbled by your talent for audio visual storytelling. Thankyou very much for sharing it.

wow that's incredible , what a piece of work. I thought it was an official release until i read the comments. i have been a fan since the beginning, saw them at Glasto in 97. the Bends for me is just timeless . took me a lot longer with some of there other releases but i have always caught up. has given me so much understanding of something i thought was just mine, but never was . hats off to you. hopefully if they ever get to see this , i would hope it had there blessing.

I've watched this twice already and it's just so beautiful. Jigsaw's lyrics come into a new focus in the light of their carreer. What a weird story I think.. incredible work, it does justice to the band's dedication

This was amazing, like watching a professional documentary from the bbc or something. I love the way its hopeful at the end and that despite all the hardship the band went through they pulled through and wrote some of the best music ever along the way. Well done

Just people who music heals and whose music helps other people heal.

Each time I immerse myself in Radiohead's music and reflect on their presence throughout the years, I find myself deeply moved. The intellectual depth conveyed through their notes and sounds is both flabergasting and everlasting, astonishing and enduring. I discovered them in my late teen years, haha through creep...one finding the other. Since then, I've revisited their entire discography every couple of months. I often find myself aspiring to understand myself through their music. At times, I immerse myself in their presence, imagining I'm in the same room as the band.

I rarely comment on anything, but as someone that loves this band and have listened to most of the rare & obscure Radiohead content on KZread, this is just great. Very skillfully edited and included content I've never seen. Subscribed.

I too am 50, and I feel I have been on this journey with Radiohead. Anxiety, depressions followed the lowest of the lows. Music has kept me going. I have an eclectic mix of tastes, however Radiohead is one of the main bands I have listened to. The transition of music throughout their history I have followed and embraced, from rock to experimental. Thank you for everything guys, you have kept me going. And Hund, this is amazing my friend, thank you.

From a mega Radiohead fan to the other.... Thank you... This band is the greatest to ever live and exist and they highly impacted my mind and life. They are special. I wish more people knew that. I wish more people paid attention to their message in today's world

My favorite band, can't help it! I was so lucky to see them live with the first album in my small town. The guys were walking around town all afternoon and no one cared. Thom had no shoes on. Where I live people try to ignore each other so back in t he day when famous people came to town they weren't bothered. This first show had maybe 100 people in the audience. After that we saw them every time they came to our area until the last Radiohead show which was at a stadium and it was horrible, too big too commercial. Then The Smile came to town and I am SO GLAD i went to the show even though I knew none of the songs. It was awesome and at relatively small venue, much more authentic and in alignment with the band. I miss Radiohead but the vibe of the band lives on though The Smile.

Radiohead always just wanted to do their own thing. As much as I love their 90s material, what were they supposed to do? Burn out doing pop rock albums for eternity? Whatever floats their boat right? And they do seem like genuinely nice people. I'm canadian, but my dad used to live in the UK in the early nineties. He lived in oxfordshire, and used to go watch hockey games in abingdon.

The world doesn't deserve radiohead but I'm so glad we have them.
