yes but they usually use carbon dating on fossils

@@alphadarthlupus2995 you can’t use carbon to date dinosaur bones, it’s half life is too short. They generally use Uranium to lead dating for ages older than 50,000 years old . To answer the OP’s question, yes, though with a caveat. The uranium of the fossil must be incorporated into zircon crystals to prevent the results from being contaminated by outside sources of lead.

You Tube search is (deliberately?) unable to distinguish between various science versus religion hoax video's, and genuine video's about fossils, and evolution. Since in my search so far Your site is about all that I have come up with that is actual science, and my particular interest is Ceratopsid dinosaur fossils from the area's around Turkey and the middle east,.. (like are there any?). I was wondering if You could shed any light on that subject. There was a paleontologist woman I believe who proposed that ancient peoples finding dinosaur fossils realized they represented some kind of skeletal remains of once living creatures, and assigned them "reconstructed" attributes , and mythologized bodies, and ascribed characteristics. So for instance Mythological creatures with an eagles head and a lions body might have come from stories based on fossil remains of ceratopsid dinosaurs , especially that the extended neck plates could "look like wing's" , to an ignorant observer. There is surprisingly little apparently on You Tube that seriously looks into paleontology. I know there are a huge array of different Ceratopsid dinosaurs, and that a lot of them once inhabited what is now the North American west coast. What are the more recent developments in China, and the middle east? Too bad the interest that young people have in dinosaurs, never seems to translate into much increased funding of serious science! And even Nat Geo seems more interested in promoting "aliens from outer space", than the really interesting creatures that once inhabited this earth! for which there are literally millions of tons of solid evidence!

Elephant birds gone extinct in 17th /18th century. Thus it will not be short time that dinosaurs GONE EXTINCT with in the last few thousand years.

He starts out measuring background (cosmic source) radiation of a fossil present everywhere on Earth. Mask he holds up later is almost *USELESS.* Reason? It does not protect the eyes/facial skin from radioactive contamination. He should be promoting the use of a *full* face mask with disposable clothing for cutting, grinding, etc...
