At 35 seconds in, you don’t see too many old AT&T long lines towers anymore. There’s still one in use that’s about 4 miles from me just outside of Morgantown, Indiana.

Another great compliation - keep 'em coming! 00:56 WKRG - a station with studios out of Mobile, AL. I watched this tower quite a bit growing up and it was interesting to see their tower facilities are very similar to others in the region. Great to see that antenna come down and SLAP the shack at the end. I remember loving this video when it was first posted after the shot. 01:23 Just visually amazing. Like watching an entire city skyline crumple into the horizon. 01:57 Another subtle nod to CDI precision. How carefully (or perhaps luckily) must that camera have been placed to get the close-up without being destroyed. 05:05 At 1,527 ft the BREN tower might be the tallest one I've ever seen come down this way. Crazy how it fell almost entirely straight!

The 2nd tower was a old AT&T Long Lines Tower. Oh why did that tower get taken down? I want to preserve every single tower in the world.

I was happy to see you guys took that eyesore of an observation tower down at Gettysburg.

1:00 Talk about what goes around comes around. That tower nailed the landing!

I remamber years ago watching to Voice of Ameica towers video when it was first published.

Great videos and demolition engineering, but as an amateur radio operator it makes me sad to see all these towers destroyed!

Totally cool video CDI, my favorite is the Gettysburg tower, that structure scared me as a young teenager bad enough that I had to be escorted back to the ground, and that was back in the 1970's,

Thank you so much for adding the locations and dates to each clip. Now we can plot and trace the history on Google Earth. Great Work! We love all your videos.

Some of those towers fell so gracefully that if a guy was hanging on clear at the top, he would probably survive the fall with nothing more than a broken arm maybe!

Hello CDI - nice compilation as always. Are you doing more radio towers these days? I figure with people moving to spotify and pandora, there's probably more radio towers being in need of demolition?

I keep meaning to ask, is your company responsible for cleaning up the debris after an implosion or is that responsibility contracted out to another company? Also, I truly enjoy watching all of your videos! You people are real artists in your field!

With some of those clips with the on-site camera, I kept hearing Maxwell Smart saying, "Missed by THAT much!"

The BREN tower looks like the B-57 TV Tower from the movie Fall

Are the towers steel or aluminum?

For radio towers, the tower is the antenna and has to be insulated from ground this is why you see it like a pencil.

my parents , when they first got married,, there was an entena sp, on the roof, that the landlord wanted taken down. rather tall. It was held up with four guide wires. My dad thought, he could clip one, and it would have been safe, lol, NOT. it fell off to the side of the house, and almost hit a brand new Packard. my dad basically shat himself.

This is very sad. Most of these towers appeared to be in good shape and could have been used for something.

typically because they aren't being used anymore

Considering the age of the towers, it is most likely they are of steel construction.

Pretty sure you can survive in some clips if you are at the top
