He is born in May 24 1994. He is from Kazakhstan and has been music schooled sense 5 years old and told the teacher that the piano was out of tune! He sings about 7 octaves or so! No one knows he is still learning. He sings higher than the piano can go! He also writs and compose own songs, plays bunch of instruments including Dombra there own Kazakh instrument that has a sound you can’t believe and onley 2 strings! He also sings in about 14 (Kazakh, Turkish, Usceck, Russian, Ukranian, Serbien, Bulgarian Chinese , Italien, Spamish, French, English, German, Japanese ) languages and speaks 3 so far (Kazakh, Russian and English). Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. He graduated with a degree in opera from the music school at the University of Aktobe (2014), a degree in pop/jazz from the National Arts University in Nur Sultan (2018), just completed his Master's degree in composition (June 2020) and have started his PhD. He have done some contests in his life but the one I think got the worlds intension is "The Singer" (Allso called "I am a singer" or "Singer") from China in 2017. The Singer is a program for established Chinese singers to face off against each other invites only in a competition where votes were cast by an audience of 500. Dimash Qudaibergen was a last-minute inclusion (a 'dark horse'). But his performance of 'SOS D'un Terrien En Detresse' electrified the audience, his fellow competitors and the viewers who numbered in the billions (this program was one of the most-watched in China and outside). They also got him the nickname "Imported little brother" the day after the show. They also had to get bodyguard for Dimash do to the famous over night both in China and also the world. Dimash wasn’t really prepared for that. He had come to China at 22 years young man by him self and didn’t know the language. They hade contracted him for 2 shows because they didn’t think he cold go further than that. He didn’t think they would like him. So he was nervous this performers that he had also to start the show with. But they hade to change that do to his famous over night. Dimash got many new friends from this show and he said at some point he learned a lot from it to. ❗I remember his concert in New York. The papers went nutz about him naturally but the FANS ! Venue said "the nicest audience we've ever had !" 82% came from outside the US, nobody here could get tickets, sold out in a blink. Evidently fans met in groups, some with whole families, travelled together, stayed a week, booked blocks of rooms, had luncheons for each other, sightseeing, shopping, the media flooded with stories of this "unusual group of fans from around the world, lovely, terrific people ". Restaurants , hotels, retail. Industry journals report he has the largest active fan base in the world. 10 million authenticated.

The NYC show didn't sell out "in a blink," but it was a full house! If you have links to any reviews in the American press, please provide them! Barclays didn't allow flowers but it was still the most thrilling concert for Dimash--he was so happy!

@@geminitwin1160 I was able to get tickets but I'm telling you it was like pulling teeth, it was sold out for all intents and purposes, reserved for press etc. An American, I grew up in Kazakhstan, my sister and several friends went to uni with him, our parents have mutual friends. I lived in London and was visiting. His parents got the tickets for us, I went with my Dad, they were both backstage. I saw him in London as well. Right after Denis was killed, big picture of him superimposed Dimash sang SOS almost broke down and exited quickly. Denis Ten his best friend, was rehearsing his Olympic trial free skate to SOS, murdered by street thugs leaving the arena. Kazakhstan devastated.

Met the nicest people from different countries at that little Italian restaurant across the street from Barclay’s Center. The owner had Dimash songs playing in there and EVERYONE was attending the Dimash concert! It was a wonderful experience outside of the concert itself! 🎉

Dimash just turned 29 this yea (2023). He's been formally musically educated since age 4 or 5. Another few songs to listen to for his range are The Singer performance of 'Opera 2'. (It made the Russian original singer of the song to try to prevent Dimash from ever performing it again. The other is 'El Amor En Ti' at the Almaty Concert. And another is the GAKKU performance of Unforgettable Day. It is the only version he hits a D8 whistle note.

Thank you! That is very kind of you. I been listening to Dimash for months now and have e)ven gone to his youtube page and just listened to his playlist. He is so talented and it is nice to just listen to him all day. Another person I've come to love - and at age 69 I never thought I'd listen to a heavy metal singer but Dan Vasc from Brazil is THAT good! He also has an amazing vocal range, does lots of covers, and adds his metal enthusiasm to many of them. His rendition of Disney's Mulan song, I"ll Make a Man Out of You is so good you want to join his army! But he also does amazing at singing Amazing Grace, Angels We Have Heard on High, Adeste Fideles, and even the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah! One more thing I wanted to say. I noticed when listening to your reaction to Sinful Passion that you stopped the video at what you thought was the end. Dimash is famous for doing 'pregnant pauses; toward the end of songs - then he dives into his more powerful singing until he gets to the end and softens things again.@@TheSpeakEasyLounge

I love it! This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer). The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). This is an invited singer contest only well known singers get on it. Dimash was 22 here, his Octave range here was about near on 6. After this song - he was first on, doesn't speak french, or Chinese or English at that time. The audience is full of singers, coaches and teachers with a few normal people in it. I know I've listened to songs claimed to be in 10 different languages (armenian, chinese, english, french, italian, japanese, kazakh, russian, spain, ukrainian) and that the fandom wiki lists songs in 13 languages, excluding the armenian I've heard (presuming they're not lying, and I've no reason to think they are). So that suggests he's sung in at least 14 languages, with clear evidence the fandom wiki is outdated.

I would recommend going for the drunken concubine+ diva dance version as even more impressive then the pure version.

SOS by Dimash is possibly currently my favourite song. When I first saw this video, I thought to myself, I may have just watched the best singer on the planet. That said, I like how your reactions are very diverse, but I couldn't see any reaction to Japanese all-female rock/metal bands (I apologise if I'm mistaken). Japanese all-female bands are some of the most musically talented bands on the planet, usually a level or three above most western bands. In fact, I can make a reasonable argument that LOVEBITES are probably THE most musically talented metal band today.
