Alain Badiou is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary French philosophy. We should all learn from the great thinkers. Which is not to say we should digest their works uncritically. But thinking of ethics in the manner described here is a radical paradigm shift. It is empowerment. And it boils down to very simple truths.

Well, Peter Hallward is the translator for the English edition of the book. So if he's got it wrong, then who could possibly get it right?
