Check out Kevin Schultz's '66 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Gasser! Originally offered with a Commando 4 barrel 273 V8 this fastback is now powered by a 440ci mopar stroked to 505ci with a pair of holley quick fuel carbs atop the weiand tunnel ram intake. For '66 Plymouth updated the Barracuda with an eggcrate grille front and simpler tail lamps minus the circular back up lenses and brought back the Formula S package which was first introduce in '64. The stripes returned along with the rally suspension, the Commando engine with a dress up package, special 14" by 5 1/"2 inch wheels with flashy wheel covers mounted in Goodyear Bluestreak tires. Inside featured a new tach and an optional floor console with a choice of a hurst shifter 4 speed or 3 speed automatic transmission. Only 38,029 Barracudas were sold in 1966 with 2,970 manual transmission Formula S cars and 2,346 automatic powered Formula S cars making them quite rare. About all the remains of the formula s package on Kevin's cuda are the patinaed stripes, fender badges and the cool looking rallye gauge cluster incuding a 150mph speedometer. Up front is the obligatory straight axle and out back is a leaf spring suspension with a Dana 60 rearend. Huge 30" cheater slicks protruding out along with the nose up front stance give this cuda that classic gasser look of the 60's!
